Two things here to take into account.

We have a better quality of player than most and we also have more of that quality. So on average when we get an injury it's likely to be a good player but we can also deal with it better.

Below isn't the article I was referring to before but is still interesting. It's from 2017/18 season..

Read my previous post again. I'm not comparing the quality of the respective squads. Stevie Wonder can see the gulf in quality. I'm talking about the importance of those injured players to their respective clubs. Anyway, I'm at work so I can't (and won't) argue with you all day. It's obvious we see things differently. Have a good day.

I don't agree or disagree I'm just putting the figures out there and people can make their own mind up.

The problem with the kids, though, is that there is an enormous gap between being a top EDS player and being a competent premier league player. It's taken Foden two years to bridge it, and he's still patchy. Also, Pep is having to give unfit players like Gundogan and Aguero game time just to get them up to speed. Yeah he can't win to be honest! And it makes sense to try and win the first 4 CL games and then rest players before the Christmas fixtures.

For me, the best squad wins the league this season with it being so close to the last one and the disruption. It's ours for the taking on paper, particularly with Van Dijk injured. Fabinho is quality at CB but it's a big loss for then. However, as ever, the fact we have so many out is largely ignored. If we can keep in touch or better up to Christmas, then get everyone back and fit into the New Year we'll be in great shape to regain it. I think Pep will be wanting it more than ever. 3 in 5 seasons is brilliant. If Liverpool win it then they've matched us under Klopp and also have the CL and Pep will be more than up for that battle.

I still believe we will win it, and whilst the CL is a cup competition, we are good enough to win that too.

The elephant in the room is left back. I think we have to go with Ake for most games.
