Walker cannot come back too soon
Just about to post the same thing

We miss him bad not just for him playing but it also allows cancello to pay in his best (though not natural) position.....that seems harsh on Zinchenko who deputises well but isnt as good.

probably out for longer now compared if we let him come back healthy. its a risk we took it means bit more playing time for Laporte/Ake next 2-3 weeks.

I think we will see him in Madrid... maybe it was a tactical substitution...

my unpaid opinion is his season is over. Already had a hamstring injury that clearly Wasn’t recovered. If he’s out 4-6 weeks like many hamstring pulls, he’s done for the season. A shame.

May be sacrificed in a potential UCL final for a half

Ake has been playing with a knock as well Pep said the other day so him not playing tonight and having longer to get over it might be a blessing in the long run

I wouldn’t be surprised either way but I don’t want to assume the worst and normally somebody asks.
You were one of the ones yesterday saying that we were pulling a flanker with Stones and Walker.
Well thanks to the gamble, we will definitely be without one and probably both for the rest of the season.

You do realise I’m not Pep?

I actually said Pep doesn’t lie about injuries and I don’t think he did.

They both trained yesterday so I’m still not going along with Walker is definitely out for the season.

As for Stones Pep took the gamble and I think he was right to do so given all the circumstances.

No point in having a fully fit squad if you are out of all the competitions.

I didn't have you down as being naive, but if you don't think manager's including Pep don't lie or are liberal with the truth when discussing injuries or tactics with the press, you are.
