Only the rags and us have retained the title , it is very difficult

Chelsea also dit it and yeah it IS difficult.

We can't expect every season is going to be a walk in the park like last season, even if we strengthen our weakness there's no guarantee. Injury and player form consistency is the key even if we have the best player in every position, if one of them is injured or for some reason his form dropped it can affect the whole team.

When did the chavs retain the prem title ? I really dont know

We've made the same mistakes time and time again with Txiki though. We win the league and don't strengthen the team enough to keep us ahead of our rivals. That's why we've only retained the title once under Txiki's reign. He isn't beyond criticism.
The only clubs to retain the Premier League title are Manchester United, Chelsea, and Manchester City. That's three clubs in 30 years. City don't retain the title regularly because it's a very difficult trophy to retain. In fact, the last club outside of United, City or Chelsea to retain any English First Division title was Liverpool in 1984. And before that? Also Liverpool in 1980. And before that? Also Liverpool in 1977. And before that? Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1959. So that's over 60 years of English football with only five clubs ever retaining the top division title.

The fact that we retained it at all in 2019 was an incredible achievement and meant that we were the only team to retain the title in the 2010s. Part of what makes the Premier League so great, and what makes it so appealing to people around the world, is that retaining the title is as hard as it is. Standing still for a second allows someone else to come and take over. We don't want to become Celtic, we don't want to become Barca of the 2010s, because it's bloody boring. We don't follow City on the condition that they win the league every year.

Txiki has done nothing wrong?

So don't you think it was obvious we needed a new LB and CF in the summer? Don't you think we made a mistake in pursuing Kane for the entire summer only for it to fall through with a week or so before the window closed? Grealish is a class player, but did we really need him over the positions mentioned above? That's just this summer.

Our club is successful and yes, it's hard to say it's not 'well run', but there are still some areas of the club that are ran terribly (not necessarily Txiki's department though) e.g. supporter services.

EVERYBODY recognised that we needed a striker. The difference between your recommended action & the Club’s stance, is that we have targets & if they don’t happen because you’re dealing with an Egomaniac like Levy, then you don’t just do what the rags do- & sign any reasonable striker/player when you’ve got the players we’ve got.

My first priority supporter wise is MCFC, internationals are definitely not my priority.

Where do players get the bulk of their earnings from, playing Club football of cause.

The way some international manager flog our players is a disgrace and as for playing them in friendlies that is ridiculous. Pick uncapped players for friendlies and see what they can do.

You can't force the player to not play for their country there's no rule or clause that forbid player to not playing for their country it will be illegal to do so, i don't know how playing for national team is mean for the player in England.

But everywhere around the world it will the be highest honor and pride for playing with your country, so yeah players outside england playing for their country is more higher importance than playing for their club.

That's true. It is very difficult. It's even more difficult when the person in charge of transfers doesn't seem to have a sensible policy in place to secure players in positions where we're desperately short.

You don’t seem to recognise that Pep & his colleagues do have a sensible policy - & they don’t just sign a player for the sake of it.

3 fucking months? Yesterday, it was a "small fracture".
These injuries can take anytime from 6 weeks to 3 or more months to completely heal small fracture or not , operation or not jim.

I don't wish to be a doomsayer and as a professional athlete he will get the best treatment and advice how to get back as soon as possible but we might not see him until the new year and then again he might be back early December.

Early December is the very best we can hope for.

time for Sterling to channel some his off field interests onto the playing field and return to the consistency of previous years , we need a big couple of months from him.

meting again. You don’t seem to recognise that Pep & his colleagues do have a sensible policy - & they don’t just sign a player for the sake of it.

Yeah we don't sign a striker just for the sake of it, what if the striker in question can't keep up the quality that City have been asked for.

It will very unfair for that striker because in reality he just knee jerk signing and will get unfair criticism of why he can't perform as he should be.
