Day 2 done last night. ouch.
As Rosler said, those push up drills are murder, how fast can that fucker count as well!

Wait til you get towards the end of month 2. Level 2 drills (down, back, 4 runs, 4 push ups, then back up) become Level 3 drills, (down, back, 16 runs, 16 push ups, then back up).

I managed to keep tempo on the first set with Shaun T, but after that, they were coming back up as I was still on my way down. Very hard going!

ha ha, cheers for that, cant wait ;)
have given up trying to keep up with them lot on the vid (for now at least)
Like someone said about the firemen, hardest bit for me at this early stage is trying to co-ordinate the moves so quickly, the mrs nearly fell through the front room window last night!

And them 1-2-3 hiesmans, they all mover faster than spiders taking flight!

Cardio power and resistance tonight.

Does anybody doing this use a recovery formula?
I tend to do mine late at night and so don't eat afterwards but reading some stuff online today suggests that we need to consume protein and carbs after completing a tough workout, so thinking that a good recovery formula would do the trick for this?

I've been eating afterwards, high protein meal and Lucozade recovery powder. It's more or less the same in supplement that Shakeology is. Only 40 quid cheaper. Definitely notice a massive difference in pain and aches the next day.

Did the Upper Body Training and Cardio Recovery earlier. Felt great, look good, one of the best things I've got involved with.

I've been drinking nesquick chocolate milk shake about 20 mins after workkout. A couple from the insanity vid recommend it ona help video on youtube as a cheap alternative to the rest and recovery formula they advertise.
Something about being carbs to protien 4:1

Actually, can anyone confirm this is the correct thing to do as i would not be too happy if i get to the end of the 60 days and fuck all as happend due to this!!!

Well done pal, just done day 3, cardio power and res and whilst i was still screaming at the end it was far easier than the plyo met cardio circuit,,,, which incidently i didnt realise i had again on saturday!!! fuck.

Despite all the 'nothing new in it, can do it all for nothing if you know how' folks on the thread last week, I cannot believe how many people have got into this so quick.
I've got about 6 mates who want to 'borrow' it from me (might even re-coup my out lay!)

On a rest day today but find myself really wanting to do some exercise... this is most strange

Plyo Cardio Circuit today.

Couldn't do it yesterday as my mum and dad were both in and I can't just go and take the living room!

Went for a 30min run instead.

EDIT: FUCK off Plyo Cardio!

What a work out that is!

Day 5 done feeling pretty good, it is very hard work and you have to be motivated to get up and just blast through it - Putting in my food in my fitnesspal is a good idea too.

Made my own recovery drink as I do my workouts before work and its quite filling and the oats provide slow energy to get through till lunch.

250ml Milk
200 water
1 Medium Banana
20g protien powder
handful of rolled oats

I'm so confused...

Everywhere I read it says that for healthy living, diet is more important than exercise, but it's about a million times more complex!

Exercise is easy -> Pop a DVD in, sweat for 40 mins, take a shower...

but nutrition seems really complicated... the right amount of protein / carbs / fats, along with the right types of those, at the right times of day... with or without supplements and post recovery drinks... my head hurts!

Can someone point me in the direction of a site that breaks it down nice and simple please? I tried reading FantasyIrelands posts on the fitness thread but got confused with that...

Is it just me?

Have you tried men's health magazine online ? They have loads of info on what types of foods you should be eating as part of a heathly diet and fitness regime

I had a browse of their site, but it's all little bits of info in lots of different articles, there doesn't seem to be a beginners guide or something like that...

How much time do you have during the day, a good day would be

Breakfast: Porridge (semi Skimmed milk) or 2 poached egg on toast (wholemeal)
Mid Morning: Hand full of mixed nuts
Dinner: Chicken or Tuna sandwich no mayo even better salad with same meats
Tea: Something like lean mince or turkey mince, 100g pasta and a low salt tomato type sauce with some chilli flakes added
Snacks through day if needed can be things like carrots and other veg that you like

I mean this is very basic but it will speed up your metabolism, you're getting good fats inside and lots of protein with some good carbs.

Thanks for the tips

Here's a typical days eating for me...
Breakfast: Bran flakes with semi skimmed milk
Dinner: Ham sandwich on wholemeal bread, apple, banana, orange
Tea: Pasta or something like that, sometimes baked dinners (like fish fingers and chips) - I have three kids that love that kind of stuff...

Thats not bad mate. I mean unless you are trying to get ripped but I take it you just want to lose weight
Drop alcohol intake if that's something you enjoy
The problem with pasta is normally the amount people have. Who doesn't like fish fingers and chips though, could try less chips and have baked beans something like that

Start with weight loss which is easy. By the time you come round for definition and so on you will have got your head round all these diet tips and supplements. More than anything it will be what suits you're lifestyle and needs. I have been every shape from fat to skinny, muscley to podgy to unfit since the age of 21 and this year decided to get fit and stay fit so still learning what suits me at this time as well. Good luck with it

...So weird seeing this today
Ive been running (6-9k per day) and eating nowt for weeks (fruit for lunch-no carbs at all in the evenings-no sugar & no alcohol) but dont seem to be losing anything!!!Nightmare
I saw this on telly this morning and it looked interesting, but i thought it was the usual informercial bollocks. But seeing this thread from reasonable liked minded people (not cheesy stupid yanks) has made me think twice about it.
Can anyone pm me the vid/link. I dont have £200 but i do have knackered tendons from running on cracked pavements! Also how the hell do you nkeep on top of the food from just a video? It sounds like you have to take a degree in 'foody-ology' to know what the fuck your eating??
Any help from anyone will be massively appreciated. Ive tried everything now and need to get in shape badly. Thanks all
