Insanity work-out

Well went to Madrid and had beer and tapas galore so completely fallen off the "bike"!

Starting again tomorrow day 1.

Pure cardio last kicked my arse. I usually have footer on Tuesday but it got cancelled at the last minute meaning I had an in scheduled day off. I'm think that i find it harder after a rest day.
I've not lost any weight yet which has surprised me to be honest. I'm not in it for weight loss but I did expect to lose a few pounds as I've been very careful with my snap. My miss says she can tell a difference in the abs area but I'm yet to see it! I think she's after some new shoes!
 
Just done my second fit test... here's my results...

Switch Kicks 111 (+18)
Power Jacks 47 (+11)
Power Knees 82 (+17)
Power Jumps 27 (+7)
Globe Jumps 8 (+2)
Suicide Jumps 13 (+2)
Push Up Jacks 22 (+3)
Low Plank Oblique 37 (+10)
 
I could be wrong (it has been known!), but I suspect a lot of people in this thread are counting switch kicks wrong. It's one kick with both legs = 1 rep.

I suppose as long as you count it the same all the way through it doesn't matter, but just for pedantry's sake...

You're right, it's not explained that way on the DVD though, so I decided to keep it as 1 kick = 1 rep, and remembered to not get too big headed at whipping Tanya's butt

Get a big towel as you are going to sweat buckets, also try to keep your form rather than doing shitloads of reps but poorly. Good luck you will be fucked after it but keep going its worth it, also unless you keep the diet up you won't see much difference.

As already said stick to the diet and dont miss meals. Push yourself to get better every dvd, Again as already stated, get your form right, the first few days are difficult on your legs but also cos you dont know the moves and your co-ordination isnt right yet.

Its also a good idea to watch the dig deeper dvd just before you start the fit test even if you have seen it before, he goes through some basic positions SLOWLY, you dont really get time to have that sort of practice when you start proper.

After each workout I tend to have some nesquick with milk for the recovery drink as I have read some stuff about it being better for your muscle recovery than protein based shakes (post workout) I have no idea if this is true though!

I also find this thread quite motivational so keep on it, oh, and dont forget to post your before , during and after pics on here! So far only Rosler has had the balls to do it as I think the rest of us looked like hippos at the start.

Cheers pal, yeah said to myself there's no point in doing this if I'm gonna do it half hearted. I ain't a big health food eater and that's my problem, eating too much of the wrong stuff and rarely exercising. Well here goes.
 
Had to have a week off due to illness back on it later. If anything the week off has put more definition into my body.

I've not been on it since thursday night. I've been running about all weekend so it's not been convenient. Just pulled my back tonight so that's kippered this Eve's sesh. I'm at the the game tomorrow so it's going to be Wednesday at the earliest!
 
That is a big downside to Insanity, committing an hour a day (plus getting ready, shower afterwards etc.) six days a week just isn't always convenient.

Yeah, that can be a problem. Hi did 2 days worth on friday because I couldn't fit it in on the saturday.
Will be doing the same this weekend which means it's Pure Cardio, Cardio Abs, and Power and Resistance for me on friday!
