Resistance training is far better imo.The health benefits are great and you'll look far better.
Nothing wrong with cardio as a supplement to weights,it will help,however certainly prioritise the resistance stuff.
I have recently started GVT training(German volume training)
It covers muscle building and cv work as it involves performing 10 sets of 10 reps with a constant weight(usually 60% of 1rep max) with 60secs between those sets.
Ive been splitting my workouts over 4 days,every other day.....
mon - legs(squats)
wed - chest(incline db press)
fri- back(deadlifts)
sun - shoulders(overhead press)
Its brutal and needs dedication and plenty of effort but its very effective.
Use this method on compound exercises(squat,deads,press etc.) and I guarantee you'll see quick results.

I've been doing this workout, although (I don't mind admitting) instead of 3 plate incline press, I've had 3 x 5kg on each side and then dropped down until I'm using just the bar, also I simply can't do more than about 5 chest dips with a weighted belt.
