Insect bites

Used to use this stuff when fishing the Ebro in Spain. Brilliant stuff. I think it's available here. Kills mossies, black flies and all manner of flying nasty bastards.

Those horrible little black flies are something else, far worse than mosquito bites. They savaged me a few years ago whilst i was cooking a BBQ in the Ebro valley. My fishing guide sent me to the village chemist for honey cream to reduce the swelling and relieve the pain, and i was in pain! I must have been bitten well over 100 times and(at first) I didn't feel a thing. I was in absolute agony the next day though and felt rough as fuck from the poison they inject!

With your recommendation I'll definitely be buying some of that, mate. Thanks.

Got a lump on the back of my ear lobe now but fuck knows which little shit as bit me this time

They put wifey in hospital. She went to the pharmacists for some ' cream...' and they said NO, hospital. She actually fainted in the car. We had to deal with the fuckers on a daily basis just mowing and strimming but they didn't affect the locals. One farmer showed me a bush and told me to rub the leaves over exposed skin...it worked a treat. They seemed to go for lighter coloured skin as well as the usual carbon dioxide in breath. The bastards dont inject like a mosquito they rasp the skin away and as you say you dont realise until blood's pouring out and scars last for months. Infestations have been known to kill livestock. Google Mosca Negra.....The bush doesn't grow over here.

I'm not surprised the pharmacists recommended hospital, total nasty bastards. And the black flies are no better; )

Joking apart, I'll get some of that Halley insect repellent.

In Munich for 4 years and I can tell you thems savage buggers down there. IKEA sold mosquito nets over there and we had one. About them going after certain types, two mates came over, we all went out on the lash and practically passed out, them two on camp beds in same room, one had no bites, the other 33 including one on his eye lid.

I used to do a trade show in friedrichshafen every year. Got bitten to fuck

I’ve been bitten/injected many times by insects in uk. Used to cause serious swelling which then led to hospital and IV antibiotics. Now, touch wood, I’ve managed to control it, as long as I take an antihistamine within a day of the bite. And even then swelling occurs, so I have to get my leg/arm up, and keep cool - this was rather tricky last Monday, whilst driving in that heat…
The next day whilst in the sea in Northumbria to assist the swelling cool down, I got dragged by a jellyfish on my other leg…
So I had 2 legs raised, one kept hot - jellyfish, the other kept cool - bite.

Same here.
No idea why I'm so susceptible to bites & that serious swelling (my legs could end up like those done meat kebabs/elephant legs you see).

Antihistamine tabs are a god sent but I should really use preventative cream/spray....

Got bitten really bad a few weeks ago on holiday in Greece the both of us,but the Fuckers have followed us back here
Anthisan stops the itching and swelling. It's an antihistamine cream.

Either that or move to Mossley/Dukinfield bugs don't like it there.
