Dear fellow blues.

My name is Per from Norway. Has been a City supporter since 1979/1980. Close to "football maniac" and especially MCFC(but maybe a long way to go compared to real mancunians). At the moment I have been giving "go ahead" to start building a City room/footbal room, and my plans are to make it really good with already invested in executive vip chairs and more to come. This has been in my dreams for many many years, suddenly it going to be happening, the neighbours may think I am total crazy. My family has accepted my "sickness"........

Read about the documentary program who is coming on ITV4, but I do not have that channel here in Norway.

Feel sad, no chance to see it, record it or even subscribe on that channel from here in Norway.

I hope someone can record it on a dvd, cd or file for me? I will pay a good price.

This was on American TV last week. Quite entertaining. Chappys comment on how pleasent Pellers is is eye opening. Overall rather enjoyed it. Littlle things like this make me feel closer to the club. Does anyone remember that time City featured on 'Nationwide', an old BBC programme? I seem to recall it was a time of some optimism under Swales, but surprise, surprise, it ended in tears. I can't recall the exact year, sometime in the 1970s, or what the drama was. Or am I dreaming this?

No you're not dreaming this Ernie. It was during the 1977-78 season when the Nationwide was given full access. If I remember correctly it was a weekly slot and I remember Colin Bell being filmed running up and down streets in Manchester to regain fitness after his knee injury, although that could have been on 'Kick Off'.

And Colin Bell was wearing Adidas Samba trainers I think. Wouldn't dream of pounding the streets in those nowadays - I run up to 50 miles a week in modern running shoes which weren't deveoped in 70s.

Yeah, seem to remember a certain Alan Brazil saying that he ran a half marathon in a pair of those - unsurprisingly he had to retire early with a bad back. Can't think why.

Sleepers is a class film. Why do they put class films on at shit times on weeknights?

I don't think the documentary has anything groundbreaking in it but it's worth a watch if you haven't seen it. You'll be very underwhelmed if you're expecting firerworks

That's not saying much; a M*******y/Leonard Cohen duet would be more uplifting than that godforsaken season.
