Sterling decent but had no movement around him. Midfield was far too deep and the wing backs not pushing high enough up the pitch. Vardy and Rashford would be killed by Pep ... so lazy. Stones had a shaky start but grew into the game. This team is crying out for something special in midfield though as it's a bit pedestrian in there. We don't break well and we don't drive it through the midfield from deep enough

I’m not sure, if every time someone stands on someone’s foot in the box it’s a VAR review and a pen there will be 10 pens per game.

As a matter of fact, England had 12 shots with 6 on target, throughout the game.

Fair enough don't remember any of them.
Did the Italian keeper have to make a save?
Perhaps the "shots" were trickle through balls that a six year old could have picked up.

Thats such an important point people seem to just ignore because all they focus on is a freeze frame of one player standing on another players foot. The Italian lad left his foot there, Tarkowski just ran naturally and did nothing to foul him other than running and standing in a spot where the Italian left his foot. The Italian lad is screaming before he’s even been touched.

If they had said 'no pen' for that reason, it wouldn't even be controversial. It would be a 'shrug of the sholuders' job. So they can give what the fuck they want, like the offside the other night

Which gives the officials the ability to manufacture the outcome of the game.

What is the difference between Tarkowski trapping his foot and the Burnley goal keeper trapping Bernado's foot ?
As someone else mentioned earlier, it wasn't helped by Ash the Crash flying in.

I would like to see sterling in that position with kane alongside him, if they get the support from midfield they could be lethal. The only issue is we wont get the support from midfield...
