For those of us staying at the Meininger, this place is directly opposite <a class="postlink" href="http://www.braeustuben.de/speisen_en.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.braeustuben.de/speisen_en.php</a>

it is second on the list in this site <a class="postlink" href="http://www.europeanbeerguide.net/munipubs.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.europeanbeerguide.net/munipubs.htm</a>

And its only across the train line from the Augustiner Keller, though I recommend using the roads that traverse the lines rather than running in front of trains

I'll have a piece of the Hofbrauhaus on the day of the game. Augustiner Keller Monday night then Hofbrauhaus pre game tuesday seems like a plan

God but I hate that f##king place, I'd love to have seen it in the 20's or 30`s though. All American and Japanese tourists these days.

Two of us all booked for two nights (Mon & Tues). Only problem is, we're lacking hotel/hostel. Any suggestions where there'll be plenty of Blues would be hugely appreciated. Also, are people staying near the Alianz, or city centre?

There is nothing near the stadium mate, no pubs/bars either.<br /><br />-- Thu Nov 21, 2013 5:20 pm --<br /><br />

Augustina and Hofbrauhaus are THE two places to go for 1.76 pint glasses of lager

Tbf you can get a Mass (litre of bier) most places in Munich but drink in pints, that way you get a fresh beer every time. Most of the locals only drink litres at Bierfests, that's one of the first things I learned on moving to Munich in 1984.

Don't think you will get Rascal into the Hofbrauhaus, wrong history for El Presidente

Just to let you know shorts are going to be tested on the Monday haha... Also I think we should all attempt to bring something inflatable? Will be great to just see blow up rings, lilos, arm bands, bananas, beach balls, blow up dolls anything you can think of
