Yeah were considering it. Do you reckon UEFAs drinking laws will be a bit less ott for this?
You'll be far too pissed by then!

I was thinking more about Tom and Jimmy, I will be sleeping off my mornings booze in the corner

That's very considerate of you, always putting others first!

Just to bring the tone of the thread down a little bit............. are the best Christmas Markets the ones around the Marienplatz or are there others as well please? I want to get a couple of presents whilst I am over there and as I am on Spike's day trip I won't have a lot of time to shop. Thank you. Sorry for dragging it down to mundane. :-)

Head for the Marienplatz! The square itself has loads of Christmas Market stalls, and so do most of the adjoining streets. Head to the Viktuaklienmarkt http://www.muenchen.de/int/en/shopping/ ... markt.html, just round the corner, for some authentic places.[/quote]

Thank you raininspain, I should have googled of course!! Thanks.

-- Tue Dec 03, 2013 1:52 pm --

Dont want to alarm people but heavy snow is forecast for the UK over the weekend and Monday, just in time for take off of the Blue army, just our luck airport chaos

Manchester looks fine.

You got me worried so just checked on Accuweather they have it Sunday- Sunny, Monday - Brilliant Sunshine, Tuesday - Low Cloud.

BBC have light cloud everyday.
Hope you are right mate, loads of scare stories on tv and radio last night about severe weather coming in, oh and the Daily Express

As far as I can see, this is the plan:

Monday Night: loads of pissed-up blues on the curling rink in the Augustiner Keller (Arnulfstasse, just up from the central station).

Tuesday Morning: loads of pissed-up blues in the Marienplatz at 11 o'clock, watching the BLUE knight twat the red knight when the chimes start. You couldn't make it up!

Tuesday Morning: the same pissed-up blues having a go at skating on the outdoor skating rink in the Marienplatz.

Tuesday Lunchtime: quite a few pissed-up blues heading for the Grünwalderstadion to watch City's lads stuff Bayern in the UEFA Youth League.

Tuesday Afternoon/Evening: loads of pissed-up blues taking over all the beer-halls in Munich, before heading off to the Allianz Arena.

Tuesday Night: loads of pissed-up blues singing "We never win at home and we never win away . . .".

Any more additions to the list? If our bobsleigh team have made it back from Norwich yet, we could invent something else.

Sounds like a really good plan. I'll be with you.

No problems with having a beer, I would have thought. If you've had enough of sausages, there's a great Indian Restaurant (Manzil) just by where you come out of the U-Bahn on Wettersteinplatz: http://manzil-muenchen.com/#/

If you want to go along to 1860's training complex, it's just a couple of tram stops down the road from Wettersteinplatz (opposite way to the stadium). They have a great club shop, selling loads of sky blue shirts (I've got two!) and a lovely little bar right next to where 1860 train.

I fancy this as i want an 1860 cap.

Bgblue sort out the arrangements please. Let my security know :)
*salutes*

For the ones that stay in Munich...

2 different webcams showing the Marienplatz - you can look at matchday how "blue" it will get... ;)
