Invasion of Germany

How far from Marienplatz to the ground?

And is it feasible to go watch the kids then back to Marienplatz for more beer before the game? (time wasted travelling)

Think of it as like staying in central London and travelling to Wembley for a match

Whats the Lowenbraukeller like, anybody been in?

Apart from anything else it is also steeped in history. Hitler gave speeches there in the early 1920's and it was here in 1923 that over 2000 SA men under the command of Ernst Röhm along with men of the other right wing groups "Reichkriegsflagge" and the Bavarian "Bund Oberland" assembled before marching to the city centre during Hitler's abortive attempt to seize power.
Funnily enough Bund Oberland still exists.
After the Bürgerbräukeller was damaged by a bomb in 1939 Hitler gave his traditional November 9th speeches from the Löwenbräukeller too, as well as several other speeches and events.
For anyone interested in that period of German history it is definately worth a visit, the beer's not bad either !

Quite a distance.

Winds up to hurricane strength, storms and torrential rain forecast for the next few days in northern Germany, quite possibly spreading to the south after that.
Bad weather warning just released by the German Met office.

I've checked it out on 5 or 6 different westher sites, and it's going to be positively balmy! 5 or 6 degrees maximum (and that's NOT Fahrenheit!).
