Ha ha oh dear.

Think of it as one of those bars of gold you get paid in.
Oh dear what? When I have a phone in my inside jacket pocket, I don't want it to ruin the cut of the suit.

But if bricks are your thing.....

You are fishing again arnt you SWP?? Out off all the comparisons you pick out the only thing really that the iphone has on the 920 ie about 3mms. We all know about the number of apps and big names but surely the thickness shouldn`t ba that much of an issue? My 710 is as thick and fits nicely in my pocket and jacket pocket? Cmon you can do better than that.
Edit meant to talk about weight as always Girth gets in the way. Weight wise there is a difference but that means it will feel solid and not smash when you drop it on your shagpile :-)
3mm? Try 7!

And no thanks, I work out enough without needing to do so when talking on the phone.

If anyone wants to update their phone/iPad to the newly released iOS 6 GM (the full release in all but name) the links are here. I've used the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 WiFi+3G ones and can confirm they work perfectly.:
iPhone 3GS: <a class="postlink" href="http://goo.gl/o0BOr" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://goo.gl/o0BOr</a>
iPhone 4: <a class="postlink" href="http://goo.gl/M380G" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://goo.gl/M380G</a>
iPhone 4S: <a class="postlink" href="http://goo.gl/CrW0B" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://goo.gl/CrW0B</a>
iPad 2 WiFi only: <a class="postlink" href="http://goo.gl/jPhEa" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://goo.gl/jPhEa</a>
iPad 2 WiFi+3G: <a class="postlink" href="http://goo.gl/X0YRm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://goo.gl/X0YRm</a>
iPad 3 WiFi only: <a class="postlink" href="http://goo.gl/XwrBp" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://goo.gl/XwrBp</a>
iPad 3 WiFi+3G: <a class="postlink" href="http://goo.gl/TLxnN" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://goo.gl/TLxnN</a>

1. Download the file for your device ^
2. Plug it into iTunes, back it up before you update
3. Hold shift (or alt if you're on a Mac) and click 'check for updates'
4. Click on the file you downloaded and it should upgrade you to iOS 6.
Cheers,works great on 3Gs ;)

It's really funny at work and similar to here in a way, lads with inferior phones trying to convince you how great their phone is , when they really know the iPhone is the original and best.
Lmao.

Get an iPhone if you care about status.

Get another phone if you care about the product.

I'm confused iPhone 7.8mm thick 920 10.7mm? Anyway I know there's no changing you but I thought a man of your standing would at least have a look and feel of the competition before dismissing it. To really beat your enemy you have to know your enemy. Have had 3gs, played a lot with the 4s so I know how it feels and looks. Do yourself a big favour. Go to an orange shop when they come out and have a play. If you still think it's a brick and no match for the iPhone I'll hold my hands up. I'm not expecting you to jump ship but you will at least see why I'm an advocate of the Wp8. If you like it but it's too thick try having a look at the Samsung Ativ s. 4.8 inch screen 8.7mm thick looks and works like a dream .

It's a shame that the Lumia 920 looks set to be exclusive to Everything Everywhere (or EE as they call themselves now), I really love the look of that phone, never had a Windows phone though.

Only for 3 months mate. Then it will be available to all carriers. Dont think the 820 is though so that could be a possiblity for you?

The 920 is a great phone. Better and bigger screen than the new iphone including the fact that you can use it with gloves on!
Wireless charging! It will be the smartphone norm soon.
NFC.Not only quicker for matching your phone to various wireless devices but also for paying for stuff which will be the norm soon to. I suspect Apple are developing there own version so they can get a share of the profits!
Customizable home screen with live tiles. Not the same old boring iphone squares sat there.
Nokia maps which have AR function built in.Free offline maps for the UK and Europe/ROW. Apple maps will only support a small part of this function in the UK.
The iphone5 is a great phone but its nothing we haven`t seen before and now the playing field a lot leveller. Like someone said Apple are too busy suing everyone to concentrate on making something totally spectacular.

920 + 820 available from around Nov 2nd. Shame Nokia couldn`t get them to launch sooner. Something Apple is good at. Mind you it helps having a thousand chinese workers sweating away 24hrs a day building it.

Not sure if i will be able to wait that long. I am hopefully going to switch jobs soon which means i have to give my current phone (4s) back and I will be without a phone for a while

It's too long and too heavy, I never commented on it's thickness.

I told you to stop touching me whilst i sleep.

Not overly impressed by the iPhone 5. Not to say that it isn't a good phone.

I think I am going to go for either the GS3 or Nokia 920. Really fancy the Nokia but the long wait just gets me closer to dates other phones will come out.

Everyone needs to do what Apple does. Get the products out there asap. Nokia nearly got killed off before throwing everything into Windows Phone and now they are just forcing potential customers away because they take so long.

Last time I had a Nokia phone it used Ovi suite which was shit, never worked, poor technical support from Nokia. That made me switch from the N95 to the first Samsung Galaxy.

Hopefully they've sorted out the software side for the new line.
