If you buy a box capable yep but cost around 200/300 quid
I've just been doing the research mate and it seems like you have to buy the 500GB Free Sat box at £230. A little overpriced for aging tech, maybe because there's no competition to spur them on to better things.

Decided to simply look away and read the Mail Online.

Can I record the TV's built in free sat so that I can blitz adverts away. As in recording one program whilst watching another or presetting whilst out. If so what would be a cost efficient box to buy?

The stress involved watching the same adverts every 10 minutes is slowly draining the life force from us.
an old cardshare box like a VU duo would do this for you however it would be recording freesat from its own tuner. If you put a splitter on the sat cable you could have both freesat and a freesat dvr.

I'm theorising as I no longer have a dish to check but i think somewhere i have a cardshare box

You must be desperate!!
Everyone reads the mail online including our upstairs contingency, but not everyone readily admits to doing so. The travel section is first class offering up ideas and reviews on where to vacation throughout the world and the Money sections top notch. The piece today on British historic attractions provided a very interesting read with Fountain Abbey on our to do list.

And as for the paper itself its trophy cabinets are bulging at the seams with prestigious awards and certificates.
The Daily Mail has been awarded the National Newspaper of the Year in 1995, 1996, 1998, 2001, 2003, 2011, 2016 and 2019 by the british press awards

Daily Mail journalists have won a range of British Press Awards, including:

"Campaign of the Year" (Murder of Stephen Lawrence, 2012)
"Website of the Year" (Mail Online, 2012)
"News Team of the Year" (Daily Mail, 2012)
"Critic of the Year" (Quentin Letts, 2010)[127]
"Political Journalist of the Year" (Quentin Letts, 2009)
"Specialist Journalist of the Year" (Stephen Wright, 2009)[128]
"Showbiz Reporter of the Year" (Benn Todd, 2012)
"Feature Writer of the Year – Popular" (David Jones, 2012)

"Interviewer of the Year – Popular" (Jan Moir, 2019)[129]

"Sports News Story" (Saracens, 2019)
"News Reporter of the Year" (Tom Kelly; jointly with Claire Newell of The Daily Telegraph, 2019)

It's very trendy and chic to pretend you dont paticipate Hammy, but everyone secretly logs in on a daily basis. The proofs in the pudding and in July 2021, Mail Online had an average daily audience of 4.1 million people, making this newspaper brand the highest ranking in the United Kingdom in terms of daily audience.

In the interest of clarity I also read the Telegraph and the the Express.

Thanks for you help pal. However this morning we succumbed and re-joined Sky Signature with HD.

We managed to secure a SkyQ 2 terrabyte box for Signature and box sets on an 18 month lock in for £22 monthly.
We also got the £10 admin fee waived and free delvery for self install.

Hope this helps out for one looking at Sky Deals

Bloody hell, thats some defence of a right wing paper. Lots of awards, most at least 6 years ago. I'm sure the ex-editor Paul Dacre will be delighted when he gets a peerage off Johnson and he's tipped to become the next boss of OFCOM to ensure the press in this country becomes even more right wing. In the interests of clarity I have The Times on a Saturday and get my news from C4. And as for the last bit about logging on secretly-why would one need to hide where they get their news. I don't as I'm sure many others on here comply with your assertion " everyone logs in on a daily basis". that's just bollocks.

Now back to IPTV, which NBC channel do folks use for PL football? There are about 100+ NBC channels on mine

Don't forget the five prestigious ones from from 2019-20 era. BTW I wasn't defended the Mail but more defending my right to read it without erroneous exclamation marks of displeasure : p
