Iranian General killed by US Drone.

Our interests are their oil, and thus we have ongoing conflict.

That's a bit of a conspiracy theory that mate.

It would have held water in a bygone age when the world was hugely reliant on the Middle East for it but the Americans these days are virtually energy independent and are actually net exporters of oil.

To be fair, the Iranians have been burning the US flag and promising death to Satan since the revolution.

Nothing new, aside from the Americans probably having someone in charge now who I wouldn't want to second guess with a nuclear football under his arm.

Good riddance to the other fucker. Responsible for plenty.

I didn't comment on what I think about it, did I? I merely stated the statement is what you would find on Twitter. The fact is indisputable. There is no law prohibiting Presidents from owning businesses. The U.S. Congress can pass a law prohibiting it if they so choose.

As for precedence, George Washington chose to serve two terms. Every president after him until Franklin Roosevelt followed Washington's lead. FDR did not. There was no law against him seeking four terms. Presedence can be followed or not.
I'm not trying to pick an argument. I'm just pointing out that Trump is making an absolute mockery of the Presidency.

You only have to scratch the surface of the funding of the inaugural event to uncover numerous financial anomalies, and that's before you get into the money made by his kid's off the back of their Whitehouse dealings and RNC funding.

Then you have the infamous Trump Tower Russian 'adoption' meeting. No conflict of interest there I guess?

Trump's and the RNC's systematic dismantling of political norms over the 4 years since his nomination will have repercussions for years to come, both domestic and foreign. This is one big global mess that is going to take years to clean up, and the pain won't just be felt across America.

He's just raising the rent due for the US playing the part of Atlas

I'm not trying to pick an argument with you either. Sorry if it came across that way.

Given that (on average) only around 7% of communication is verbal, 55% is body language and 38% tone & intonation, it's often difficult to pick up the nuances of written conversations.

Emoji's help, but I'm certainly not evolved enough to work out that someone is being sarcastic or confrontational. That's why I (generally) try to remain neutral, or just stick to the facts. I certainly don't do name calling, but I do enjoy a bit of banter every now and again. It's always funny when someone else loses their rag. ;-)

True enough. One can often read something and interpret it completely wrong. And yes it can be funny when someone loses their rag. Goodness knows I've been on both ends in my time here.

I think most will be second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth (etc.) guessing this particular footballer.

Only because you have to be ready for anything when the entity you are trying to anticipate has no idea what they are doing (now or in the future).

Pompeo is digging a bigger hole being asked about the threat that made them go in for the kill.
