Ireland Leaving - Absolute Disaster

Dave the car thing is just an example that highlights attributes indicative of "Supermans" character off the pitch, something I find hard to ignore about his mental side of things - if he's throwing his dummy out the pram coz things aren't going how they should be then to gain my respect he needs to knuckle down and do the business on the pitch where ever he fukin plays! He's not done that remotely this season and DOES NOT deserve to be in the team on that basis alone...if that is not good enough for him then its defo a sad day for City but bigger tears for you than for me by the looks of it....

The manager is who we need to back more than any one player, I have been guilty of that where Robby is concerned in the past and I've learnt from it...

If we sell Ireland then it's an absolute joke. I wouldn't be surprised if Onuoha followed him aswell. Two players who are perfectly good enough for the first team yet Mancini wants to force them out by playing the likes of Vieira. If Mancini was at the fans forum and I had known this I would have seriously said something about it. This guy cannot come into our club and simply sell one of the best youth products we've ever had.
I hope Mancini attends the next forum because I'll not be scared to stand up and mention this. That's what the event is for afterall. To see him go to one of our rivals would also be a massive mistake. Play him in the right position like Hughes did last season and he is superb.

and in all honesty what do you hink he'll say oh ok then im sorry i wont sell him just cause you said so

I think most of the reactions you got are due to the numerous Ireland stories of the past mate.

Also a lot of posters will want to get defensive right away just in case the worst happens and he does leave us for the scum. Understandable if not something you would do yourself.

You know as well as anybody how the majority of this forum reacts to any news they don't like.

Hahaha, yeah you're right.

Back to PMs from now on.

Want one? I've got some belting info on the stadium...

i know already:)

Sorry not had time to read all the pages of this thread but are people saying (with inside knowledge) that Ireland is looking at joining one of the top 4 clubs? And that United is a realistic destination? Ireland claims he is city through and through so can't see this happening!

Tevez to us was one thing- but he wasn't their academy player. If he does join them then he loses all creditability in my eyes. I really can’t see him doing that.

he's a united fan so why not

Because maybe, just maybe, spending over a decade at a club and hearing it's fans singing your name every week would do more to change your mind than who you liked when you were a lad?

Besides, where does this United fan thing come from? People seem to say it, but I've never seen a quote with Ireland saying it?

but then we'd have to play the right way and try and score now and again.

We're 2 goals short of averaging 2 goals a match under Mancini. We were 1 short of averaging 2 per match before he came.

Only 3 sides (rags, Chelsea, Arsenal) in the league are averaging more goals per game than we are under Mancini (Spurs are equal)

Now that this thread is reaching a natural conclusion, can we all be friends again? Can we sit around a campfire holding hands while someone strums an acoustic guitar and we all sing 'Kumbaya, my Lord. Kumbuya.'

He was asked the question at a fans forum a couple of week ago. It was posted on here. He grew up supporting United and Roy Keane is his footballing hero...

Why do i feel like this thread is now going to be another 50 pages of "Fuck the rag twat"...;- )

No i'm not going to stand up and say "Don't sell Stevie Ireland!". I'll tell him that i've heard rumours that he'll be leaving and as one of our youth products and a very good player, myself and a lot of other fans think that it's appalling. If he say's he's not leaving then fine but if he says that and then he does leave I won't be happy.
