Is anyone else not getting excited?

Reasons to be cheerful ..... we had 2 major problems,
1) defensive calamities - pretty much resolved with the new personnel, and
2) referees. . . . . . . Oh well, one out of two ain't bad.
As soon as I read it all I could think of was...

If you are hoping it will be perfect every week you'll be very disappointed,2 teams in a game, they will get chances, they will score and we will lose games, accept that and go with the flow
Yes. A few seem to think we should win every game and are effectively playing against 11 mannequins every week who have no desire to win the games themselves.

Come on mate. Last night some of our football was world class. I remember the dross of yesteryear, Alan Ball's team, say no more. Never did I ever imagine that I would be watching such fantastic exhibition type football by my team, a team I am proud to support through thick and thin. If you can't get excited now, I'm amazed. It is a wonderful time to be a blue.

Sorry, but why is it rag like to get a bit excited, when watching the current football. We've watched some shite over the years
and this is looking like it could be a good season. But anyone who might mention what we could do or is a bit positive, is sneered
at as being arrogant or rag like.

Let's just say that 2 years ago before the autumn collapse, I posted a thread that said if we won our next two games we'd have a 15 point lead going into November if other results went our way. All the results over the next two games did.

Except us.

We went on to draw both terribly, and then collapsed.

We can get excited, but for all clubs a collapse is only a whisker away, and we've managed it not once, but twice now.

Even in Bobby Manc's title winning season, we looked unstoppable, then became stoppable very fast and managed a miracle in the end when in reality we should have been out of sight.

So I'll temper my excitement for once this year. At least that way I can be pleasantly surprised :-)

I'm loving the football at the moment but it's very early days and we have to see what happens as the games come quickly after each other.
It's only two games since we struggled to beat Bournemouth and three games since we drew with a pretty lackluster Everton albeit with only 10 men
Main thing is that the football is great to watch.

I wasn't excited after the Liverpool game because we still showed defensive frailties, but after watching last night , I think things are starting to click. The difference this season is that compared to the last three seasons, Aguero never knew when the ball was being crossed. Zabba, Clichy and Navas always checked back and passed backwards or across, now Mendy, Walker & KDB are hitting it in early and Kun is now starting to anticipate it. Exciting times ahead!

Too early in the season. Enjoying it while it lasts, but like the team and Pep, taking it game by game. A couple of injuries to key players would be enough to give us issues, particularly at the back. That isn't to say that the win on Saturday and yesterday hasn't left me 'buzzin' man.

I was excited the minute Pep was confirmed and last season didn't dampen that even though we ended trophyless. The bloke knows his onions and I can't wait to see what comes next.
