Totally agree, I always had him as one of the best ! Agree completely with this. Everyone is being picked on merit, he's made two big mistakes, leading to goals, in a week so it has to be Kolarov now.

Neither are good enough,we need a replacement.
Does anyone else remember clichy's early days at arsenal? was one of the best left backs in the league for roughly two years if i recall correctly, before massively losing form. Needs to find his form, kolarov should be 1st choice for now

Just seen the pen on SSNakesTV. Yer can't lay yer hands on players in the penalty area but that guy only went down when Clichy removed his hands. Not quite as noticeable as Ash the Crash tonight but he can work on it!

Clichy Always relied on his speed to get him out of trouble due to his awful positioning. Great going forward though. If he loses his speed sell him because he cant read a game, has the awareness of a left winger not a left back.
Always thought Clichy was good going forward at arsenal but shit at defending, so it was surprising how well he defended when we first signed him, but maybe that had something to do with mancini tactics. Now we are playing more open he doesn't seem to be able to cope with this more open play.

I was a huge fan of him at arsenal because he was rapid and kept going and was excellent one on one even when we always left him one on one because we didn't care too much for defending. But he always got caught out with diagonal balls , never seemed to know where the attacker was and was always ball watching. He would usually use his speed to recover but he seemed a far better individual than part of a unit.
when he first broke into the team we played him on the left wing many times ahead of Ashley cole. I still don't think he has natural defensive instincts.
