It's fun when you're young and daft, but not when you're old (and daft).
Up all night peeing the beer out, headache, probably vomiting, loose bowels and a raging thirst. (Btw why do you get a thirst after imbibing a quantity of ale?) Plus, it's expensive. |Much better to have a hot Bovril and a club biscuit.
Drains me for days and plays havoc with my mental health. Try and limit to 3 pints at the football, if I ever do drink, anything over this and I don't feel right for days. Used to get black out drunk a lot as a teenager and had some good laughs, but I find alcohol a waste of money now.
What sort of way with your mental health, Anxiety and stuff?
I'll give you all a few tips here to avoid a hangover. Natural yoghurt with honey first thing, I've never needed antacid pills before or after alcohol in my life(fuck off @Magicpole; )
Then have a small bowl of cereal, porridge is better (Dont start MP; ) Then a good English breakfast(ok MP, Scottish is fine; ) Then you are sorted to go on the gnats piss aka beer. Don't mix the grape with the grain unless you want a little man in your head twatting you with big gong like hammer.
After a session, pop an effervescent vitamin C tablet into a pint of water drink with a couple of paracetamol and you'll be right as rain when you wake up.
Answered your own question there - man the fuck up and have some more.I haven't drank much since May/ early June which also coincided with me eating a lot healthier and have been hitting the gym 4 x a week since they reopened. I've lost a stone since end of May. Prior to this I couod easily consume 7 pints in a sitting and be fine the following day. Yesterday I caught up with a pal and enjoyed 6 pints over the course of 6 hours which is steady for me. Had a few nibbles and a sufficient breakfast before I started.
Today I have had the worst hangover in years from 6 pints. Only just managed to keep fluids and have had something to eat. A few months a go I'd probably have been back on the beer given that it's a BH weekend. Starting to think it's not worth the hassle anymore.
