You are correct, but football is in the same position as many other businesses that are just as fucked and are having to just suck it up and hope for the best once the public health issue is under control. Football is no different or 'special' in any way but seems to think it is. It's tough for football clubs, but it's also tough for hairdressers.
Hairdressers will have people in them long before football grounds do.
There’s also not the criticism of putting staff on furlough for hairdressers.
