You are correct, but football is in the same position as many other businesses that are just as fucked and are having to just suck it up and hope for the best once the public health issue is under control. Football is no different or 'special' in any way but seems to think it is. It's tough for football clubs, but it's also tough for hairdressers.

Hairdressers will have people in them long before football grounds do.

There’s also not the criticism of putting staff on furlough for hairdressers.

How do you expect football clubs to survive until some time next year if they aren’t playing games?

They’re not playing them for the sake of it, they’d be playing them to survive. They need to keep the money coming in from tv deals, sponsors and bonuses in order to pay the wages and other costs.

Nobody can be sure when crowds will be allowed into stadiums so putting the entirety of football on hold until perhaps sometime in 2021 just isn’t feasible from a business point of view.

Not having a go by the way, just genuinely want to know what your solutions would be to stop the clubs going bankrupt if they’re not allowed to play.

funny thing is we have had 2 world wars and football come back stronger after a big gap of 5 years and its simple you just have to get on with it ? the premier league is greedy and only wants football back for the fear they will lose all this season money that was invested ? and sponsors would want back if a void season was put in place

simple reason that a only void season would be the right thing to do will be right for all clubs you can never start and play in empty stadiums you would have a spilt season and results and you will not get a proper outcome and it would be like playing a pre-season friendlies and meaningless

if you are talking about getting some income into clubs then yes play football in empty stadiums and on tv ? but it must be a new mini competition or cups with little travel as possible. you could have a summer tournament of games and a winner takes all in a one off competition. i would be up for that but not a restart of the old premier league

If the champs league places are being decided by the historical co-efficent of clubs over the last decade, then the F.A. should give us the F.A. Cup because we have been in more finals,semi-final,quarter finals than any other club.
Real Madrid should be awarded the Champs laegue , and we should also get the Premier league for the four titles we have won
