The last few pages of this thread, especially the postings of TMQ have given me a bit of hope for humanity. There are too many people in the world who are scared of their own shadow. If people stopped using the media or allegories to form their world view and started using their own experiences, we'd have a far better place to live.

See, that's not how arguments go...

not taking sides here but the fact is the french national assembly has voted to ban the burka in public & there's already a partial ban in holland although the dutch government wants to extend it.

and one of the july 21 london bomb gang did a runner in a burqa and evaded capture for 5 days.

I imagine his point is that although France and co have banned it, there are still numerous countries who haven't so its a bit of a null point.
