First off Sergio was stupid, I know he was provoked but he's a top professional and should know better than to react like that. If he'd got a straight red he could have no complaints and if we'd had to play the last 10 minutes with 10 men we might have ended up conceding and possibly losing the match.

That said, Foy gave the foul, he therefore saw the coming together. This was part of the same incident. He shouldn't be charged for the same reason that Macmanaman wasn't charged the other week, where the FA spokesman said they couldn't review it because one of the officials saw the coming together (I wish they'd call it something else!)

I'd be furious if it had been the other way round, but the FA has stated clearly that they can't review an incident if one of the officials has seen it. It doesn't mean they won't find a way of charging Sergio, but by their own rules they shouldn't.

It's worth noting that Rafa isn't making a big deal about it at all, he was asked about it after the match and didn't want to talk about it, he was more concerned about the Vinnie on Torres penalty shout.

Thank god someone has talked some logical concrete fooking sense on this thread.

I'd rather get studs in the arse than on the back of the heel, like he received from Torres.

Obviously it's a red card and an uncharacteristic act by Kun but purely from a pain perspective I'd rather get it in the arse :)
Forgot about that. Torres should also have been sent off.

Hehe, i just remembered that nick name vividly as i can't abide take take takers.
I feel better after my little rant gents :)

Was naughty by Aguero that was and not that i condone it but as mentioned Luiz does like a sly dig so maybe he had lost his temper a bit with him ?
Again not condoning it but if Luiz had been at his irritating best i can understand what triggered it.

Re: Is it true Aguero can't be banned?

And so it begins - <a class="postlink" href="http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2308982/Sergio-Agueros-horror-tackle-David-Luiz.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/footba ... -Luiz.html</a>

Sergio Aguero may have scored the winner for Manchester City in the 2-1 FA Cup semi-final win over Chelsea, but his performance was shrouded in controversy after a nasty two-footed challenge on David Luiz.
The City striker went in dangerously on the grounded Blues defender with both legs off the ground during 79th minute of the clash at Wembley but referee Chris Foy somehow failed to notice the challenge.
As a result of Foy's lack of action, the Argentina international is likely to face retrospective punishment from the FA for the stamp and faces the prospect of missing upcoming matches against Wigan, Tottenham and West Ham United.Chelsea interim manager

Rafael Benitez was understated over the awful challenge and did not point the finger at Aguero but instead blamed Foy over his failure to award a second-half penalty.
He said: 'See the video. I will not talk about players, but for me the penalty decision was crucial.'

Roberto Mancini insisted that Foy was right not to dismiss Aguero for the challenge.
'I don't think (it was a stamp). It was a tackle but Sergio is a good guy,' added the Italian manager.
Aguero's goal ensured that the current Premier League champions return to Wembley on April 11 to take on Wigan in the FA Cup Final as Mancini seeks to extend his trophy-winning sequence to three season, which will help answer his critics.

Re: Is it true Aguero can't be banned?

I said in the matchday thread he wouldn't get charged but looking at it again, doubt he would of seen Aguero doing what he did and it is bound to be treated as a seperate unseen incident. Would be a big blow to us if he gets banned but as said already there are 4 games between the final so he would be available. I had faith in the title until United won today so that's gone now so it doesn't matter too much, we will miss him a lot though at Spurs if he gets banned.
