Yeah he is gonna do some time at the fa's pleasure no doubt, silly of him.
I guess we should be thankful it we were not in the running.
That would be really galling knowing we had a reasonable chance and he was out for 3 matches.

I am so shit at trying to cheer people up and make stuff sound not so bad :(

First off Sergio was stupid, I know he was provoked but he's a top professional and should know better than to react like that. If he'd got a straight red he could have no complaints and if we'd had to play the last 10 minutes with 10 men we might have ended up conceding and possibly losing the match.

That said, Foy gave the foul, he therefore saw the coming together. This was part of the same incident. He shouldn't be charged for the same reason that Macmanaman wasn't charged the other week, where the FA spokesman said they couldn't review it because one of the officials saw the coming together (I wish they'd call it something else!)

I'd be furious if it had been the other way round, but the FA has stated clearly that they can't review an incident if one of the officials has seen it. It doesn't mean they won't find a way of charging Sergio, but by their own rules they shouldn't.

It's worth noting that Rafa isn't making a big deal about it at all, he was asked about it after the match and didn't want to talk about it, he was more concerned about the Vinnie on Torres penalty shout.

That was very good of him in his post match I thought. Said basically that he didn't want to talk about other players, and just said again that he thought Torres should have had a penalty, and that was it. Plenty of other managers, especially the likes of Ferguson and Twitcher, would have used that opportunity to give it full bore. Sadly from the sounds of it, the narrative has been written and tomorrows papers will be full of it. And as the FA's decisions are based more on what's reported than what actually happened, it's curtains for Sergio.

That United commentater on i.t.v said Agureo could get a ban. That United commentater should jog on.

That twot knew exactly what he was doing when he said what he did. He might as well have been ringing the FA complaints department as he sat there. Talk about creating a situation. The FA Disciplinary Committee were bound to hear that, and start forming an opinion on what to do if the Ref doesn't record it in the after match notes.

Of course he isn't, it's of no help to the chavs if Sergio gets a retro, they would rather he played in the Spurs match.

Would be good if they dragged Curly out to publicly say that there was nothing to it, just an accidental coming together etc!
