Is Kolarov the weak link?

From where i was sat it looked like he had a decent game yesterday.

i concur

I'll third that.

Admittedly he was slow to react for their goal but if Vinnie hadn't let Johnson get his shot away and Hart hadn't have flapped at it then it wouldn't have mattered. Kolarov made some really good challenges yesterday and QPR rarely threatened down their right side, he had a good game.

His crossing from open play was very poor, in the first half he had two golden chances to cross and hit the first defender.

He continues to frustrate, Clichy if fit should start.
The curling pass he put through for Silva in the 1st half was breath-taking. If Silva had scored that it would have been a contender for goal of the month based purely on the quality of the assist alone

This too, he plays some very intelligent and difficult passes at times, he found Dzeko on numerous times when it looked like there was no forward option available.

I agree entirely that Kolarov is City's weak link at the moment. Hopefully it is just lack of match sharpness. I think I posted after the Liverpool game that he should never play for us again, but that was an angry post.

Yesterday he spells of good play but again the concentration levels dropped and left us exposed down that flank. I also thought at least one of his "collisions" was deliberate and could easily have got himself sent off if the ref had viewed things differently.

However, as I say there were spells yesterday where he showed some good tackling, a bit of pace at times, and the odd pass. That said, I don't think that is enough to justify starting a game at the moment (which contradicts my thoughts that he needs game time!). Maybe a loan out somewhere would have helped him this season?

Unless its for fitness reasons it's ridiculous to start kolorov over clichy. I keep saying it, our second choice full backs are miles behind our first.

Maicon/Richards miles behind Zaba? Riiight.....

I also think Bobby rates Kola very highly, he would have been sold if he didn't, as there were several bids. He made a poor tackle yesterday, but apart from that was fine.

fine.
nope. Other way round.

I don't know what to make of Kolarov anymore. At times he can put a really good shift in, he defends and then bombs forward. Yesterday, he was okay defensively, switched off for the goal mind, but oddly going forward he wasn't at his best. His crosses were poor yesterday, and couldn't get it past the first man. He is a good back up to have, but he doesn't fill me with confidence. Clichy is still the main man for me.
