Is Kolarov the weak link?

What is it with all these "weak link" threads
Idiocy. Sheer, unadulterated idiocy. We should bottle it and sell it and make a fortune and buy the swamp and knock it down.

the reason kolarov struggles to get back is that he gets further forward then clichy and more often.
kolarov v crap at home
clichy the remaining times

Was it he who should have conceded a penalty against Liverpool but it wasn't given? The guy is reckless in almost everything he does on the pitch whether it be shooting, crossing, marking, tackling...you name it, he's reckless in doing it.

No not really considering he isn't a first 11 starter when Clichy isn't on leave! Yesterdays goal came around coz Silva lost possession and Zabaleta was too far forward!

Brilliant
Silva loses possession, Kompany shows Johnson inside on the edge of the box allowing him a clear shot on goal, Hart fails to get a decent defensive connection on it and yet somehow it's Kolarovs fault.

Nope, all throughout the match there were countless times when he made great tackles in and around the box or blocked crosses to prevent goal-scoring opportunities.

Going to get slated by the morons who think we cant have an opinion on here but i dont care....

He wouldnt be anywhere near first choice left back for me, hes utter shit at defending like Really bad, i played left back for a few years, yes it was a shit standard but i know whats required and hes very poor.

He'd only get a game in midfield in the league cup early fixtures as a crosser but he'd need someone behind him at left back to cover. Or maybe throw him on if we're losing and he mighr pull something out the bag like a good freekick.

But id sell him in january if anyone wants him.

I'm a moron u can have an opinion. My opinion is your a nob

He isn't as good as Clichy obviously but he's good enough for the squad and we can't expect to have perfection in every position on the pitch and bench.

I'd say just get behind the lad.

No, they win games as a team they lose them as a team, individuals can make mistakes, always easy to blame an individual when really it is should be collective.

Kolarov is below the skill standard of the rest of the squad.
He is lucky he was not sent off yesterday and left his team short.
A powerfull left foot is not enough if you haven't got a right foot.
I'm certain City can do better. Clichy is 5 times the player.

Agree 100% and would add that he looses possession far too easily and this is down to poor judgement and passing sideways or backwards as he rarely takes a man on. Defensively he is Championship quality at best, he is slow to react and positionally he is weak as proved for Liverpools first goal.

If Mancini hadn't bought the player he would have already been sold!
