Ake can play LB but does not want to, as for LWB that is a no, or at least no better than what we have.We're working on bringing in another CM? We already have too many..... (KDB, Rodri, Foden, Fernandinho, Bernardo, Gundogan)
Have only ever seen Ake play at center-back. Could he play wing-back?
Lets not get too carried away with Messi, we have scored 100 goals for the last 3 years without him, Defense has been poor and while most of that is down to injuries, the LB spot the quality is poor the real problem is we have sat back for years leaving it for a later date and our competitors have not. Angelino will go Zinchenko probably as well.As already discussed a lot of time before LB is not that much problem before. Not such problem after signing ake and not that now as we have bigger fish to fry. Because of Messi our attention is not even to KK who is a bigger priority than a LB. May be we have to search a cheaper alternative CB.
Lets stop asking for a LB unless two of Mendy, Zinchenko and angelino is leaving.
Problem is zinchenko. He isnt going anywhere. Last year he was on the verge of going but still didnt.Mendy would not go. We have cancelo, laporte and now ake.
