2nd homes a lot of them.It was worse in the 70s and early 80s, emigrated from Tameside to Cheadle Hulme 20 odd years ago. The industrial decline in post industrial mill towns is tragic.
Manchester City centre seems to be choc full of apartments, my concern is that they’re investment vehicles for investors rather than homes which ‘normal’ people can afford.
I can think of better places to visit tbf2nd homes a lot of them.
I know 2 people who own Manchester apartments but don't live there, just visit.

ya may need a powerful telescope to see Gorton monastery from there...town hall is boxed up till 2024I’ll be having a nice G&T in the terrace bar at the king st townhouse looking at the fantastic gothic architecture and just be glad I can go back into town again.
