One thing like that doesn't reflect on his man management overall

It does to me. He also went straight to his office after the 0-0 derby at COMS.

A large part of English football management is people management - manipulation if you like. Get into their heads and make them want to smash down walls for you - and believe they can.

He should have in that dressing room at half time, talking to them all one by one, geeing them up, telling them they are the better side. Talking about their individual battles, what to do second half.

Who was geeing them up? Les Chapman?
More than one way to skin a cat. And often the most well known ones are not always the most effective.

So after the 0-0 Derby at the coms he didn't go in the changing room? Just went straight from the pitch to his office?

With regards your comments on the derby at Old Trafford, thats your idea of man management, thats what you think will work. People have different ways of working, different beliefs of whats best, thats part and parcel of life aswell as football. I don't think it can reflect on his every day man management skills as we don't know what he's like on a day to day basis

His idea of man management is.....not sure really.

His idea of man management is to spend the half time break at Old Trafford talking tactics in the tunnel with his staff.
To be fair I don't think he needed "man management" at OT at half time, I'm sure there wasn't a lot to say to individuals, we'd played well, so better to have a quick word and just let them get a drink and any niggles sorted.

Why would an Italian manager want to give a multi national team a good old English up and at 'em team talk ?

"A 0-0 scoreline is dangerous," said Mancini. "A 1-1 scoreline, with an away goal, would be better, but it will be a different game in Manchester.
"Everything is open. We have a chance of going through because we play at home on a different pitch. Here the pitch wasn't good.

"I said before the game it would be difficult because the pitch wasn't good.

"Aris put 10 players behind the ball in the first-half and if we had scored they would have had to come out and play, but they could sit back and wait."

Above quote from the 'Mancini cranking it up' thread.

Looks like some journo making something up somewhere!

His remarks about Dzeko are different too....

You all choosing to ignore this then? Is it not negative enough for you?

First he publicly cricises the performance of new man Dzeko, which is hardly going to improve his confidence. Then he claims that 0-0 is a better result than 1-1...WTF? It now means that, if Aris score next week, we will have to score twice and that a 1-1 draw would knock us out. If he genuinely thinks that a 0-0 result is better than 1-1, no wonder we are struggling to win...

Mancini said of Dzeko: “I expect more but I think he needs to improve“.

“We played well, we played football and controlled the game. Aris stayed behind the ball. “It was a fantastic atmosphere,” he added. “Favourites? I think it is open – 0-0 is better than 1-1. We have a chance because we are at home. It will be a different pitch"

Fancy editing this to reflect what he actually said?
You could then delete the thread as being made up bullshit that you've choosen to jump on because it suits your agenda.

Mancini on Dzecko/Tevez ITV post match interview.
" I think its the second or third time they play together.I think they need to gel, they need to play more games. " Absolutely no criticism in there.
