Is Mourinho really that special?

he is solely the 'special one' due too his master tactician, his football might not always be flair and exciting, but tactics wise theres no1 better! thats how he grinds out these results! beating chelsea in the champs at stamford bridge this season and the rags when he was porto boss.

People questioning him on Inter's pseudo-slump (they remain top of the league and in the Champions League after all) are like the Chelsea fans and brass who did the same (and all regret it now).

The same saying applies to Mourinho as players: form is temporary, class is permanent. Just like with his slump at Chelsea, eventually that would have ended and he would have been back to winning constantly, as he will at Inter.

Ehm, the team seems focused only in the CL.

Julio Cesar and the defence in particular seemed a bit annoyed by Serie A.
We are fucking up a Scudetto just because the team wants to try to win the CL... something really difficult if you think that we will probably face Barcelona (almost impossible to defeat in a 2-legged tie) if we progress.

132 games at home with Porto, Chelsea and Inter unbeaten makes him Special to me.

Not lost a home game since 2002 WOW!

It counts only home league games. We lost to Panathinaikos at San Siro last year.

That man is arrogant and rude beyond imagination. We keep Mancini and if he fails we get a manager who is NOT mourinho.

Yes. As you could tell by my last post about Jose.

deluded inter fan I suppose...

Why do you go all offense on anyone who thinks that mourinho is not all that. Am too an Inter fan and i don't consider the guy all that special.

People have different opinions in life, you know.

Oh, maybe you felt sorry when we knocked out Chelsea. When we finally imposed our game in the CL against a top team opposition.

Something your beloved Manchini never did, anyway, the muppet from Portugal is overrated. Nonsense.

I don't have any problem with mourinho competency. He is a great manager but he is arrogant, disrespectful, and a violent person. He is not good for city. I am not talking about in terms of managerial sense. Manchester city is not an arrogant club like chelsea was/is (thats why he did so good there). We need a manager who is patient and calm.

You made it sound like this is the first time ever we make it to the quarter final of the Champions league !!

We were in the semi-final just 7 years ago (2003). Once mourinho Takes Inter to the final of the champions league (not even winning the trophy) but just the final then i will call him the best manager ever !!

And by the way, you can't compare the kind of money that Mourinho have spent so far with what Mancini spent in his time with us. Mourinho easily have spent twice if not more than mancini plus (up until now) he haven't done much other than taking the club to the quater-finals something we did 7 years ago (so nothing special here).

Well he's managed to turn dominant Serie A side into one that is competing with another 2 sides in the league, who lost the best players and have hardly spend anything over 2 seasons.

We never beat a top team opposition in two-legged tie in recent years.

in 2005-2006 we beat Ajax and we got knocked out by Villarreal
in 2004-2005 we beat Porto and we got knocked out by AC
and so on

the last time we beat a top team opposition in CL was 2003, when we won against Arsenal at Highbury... well, then they trashed us at the San Siro but... it's ok.

And Manchini spent some money with us: Vieira, Ibrahimovic, Grosso, Maicon, Chivu, Suazo, Samuel, Pizarro, Jimenez, Burdisso, Rivas etc etc were not for free.

Just can't understand you guys...

I dont think anyone can mate, its like a parrellel universe

Once someone gets something in there head, you can present them with facts that prove there wrong and then for some reason (blind pig ignorance maybe) they still foght there corner

e.g. Mancini spent alot on players just like Mourinho
Yeah but Mourinho is still not the Special One

Whole fucking forum is a complete head fuck at times

Mancini is a good Manager.
I wouldn't want Mancini to leave though.
He's doing well in City.

mourhino is needed back in premier, but not at city. Give mancini a fair crack of the whip. Changing managers so often got us in the third tier of football remember. That was only 11 years ago
