Is now the time to consider Mancini's tenure at the club

Just when the cellar renames the female genitalia the dwellers of the blue moon forum are calling for Klopp to take charge.

Thought it was a fairly simple question.

Youre an intelligent guy, don't pretend youre not, just spit out what you have to say.

My reply has been stated on numerous occasions.

You seem to be avoiding answering the question. That's what I have to say.

And if you think this season has proven that we can't develop under Mancini I'd say you have a very low standard of proof.

I think Mancini is good, bar a couple of things. Fast counter attacks is missing a bit i think. He should allso not criticize players in public. Never. But i mostly enjoy what i'm seeing on the pitch. I hope you lads win the league, then perhaps Mancini will get another chance in Europe.
The fast counter-attacks stopped when teams changed tack 12 months ago after our big wins at Spurs and Man Utd

the ability to do it is still there - see our 1st goal at Norwich yesterday, but sadly most teams sit very deep against City and you get a slow build-up and we're reliant on one twos and one on one skill from players like Silva and Nasri to open up teams

I feel City are as strong as last season, but we are fighting against the odds versus Man Utd.
That goal was very beautiful.
it was. I love watching football like that

I think 3 European campaign with no significant improvement whatsoever isn't a low standard of proof for a club interested in being one of the preeminent footballing clubs in the world.

I don't think our results in Europe are proof that he can't take the club forward. And our results in the league this season certainly aren't proof either.

it is quiet from the Mancini doubters though.

Lets be avin you
What because we beat Norwich? It will take a consistent run to prove hes turned things around. We put the best performance of the season in against Newcastle and were crap the two games after. Arsenal in two weeks will be the big test.

We havent won there since 1975 (in the league) so not really a good example

This debate needs to be put to bed until April.

There is no way a change will be made before the end of the season.

Mainly because we will be up challenging for the title until April at least and hopefully the FA Cup.

Guardiola isn't going to go anywhere until summer, and Mourinho will be at Madrid until they are knocked out of the CL.

So the whole debate is pointless at the moment IMO.

If you don't think three underachieving campaigns in Europe are proof of anything that's your business. The arguments for why Europe will be incredibly important for the club both financially as well as from a footballing point of view have been written many times. What matters is what the owners think. As you so glibly pointed out recently, Mancini's been sacked many times by some of us. Maybe this time we'll be right. Well, here's hoping anyway ...
