Is now the time to consider Mancini's tenure at the club

Ciao Mancini fans, il stick to supporting city

That doesn't make sense though, you can be in support of Mancini without being labelled a fanboy. I'm under no illusions that Mancini has his flaws, what I'm willing to do though is give him the time to correct them without jumping on every defeat with the same vigour as you'd expect if we'd just been relegated.

Seriously, supposedly blues are even saying that Benitez is the man to take over - give me a fucking break !

This time last season we looked a hell of a lot better than we do now.
But we haven't played the teams we played last season in the first few months. We had a much easier Champions Lg group (one much better team than us, one team that finished fifth in Serie A, and one team relegated from La Liga) and played eight easy games in our first ten.

So far this season we're in the toughest Champions Lg group of all time (we're the third best team in it) and have been away to Liverpool Stoke Fulham and West Brom where we only picked up four points from last season and this season we've picked up eight points from these games. So really we're doing better than last season.

It is n't the domestic form that is the issue though, Mancini is the business when it comes to domestic honours but he will never create a platform for success in Europe, Inter got sick of it, eventually City will as well. It may be better to have a manager that is not as good domestically but will most likely qualify from the group and take his team towards the latter stages of the CL.

You are joking aren't you? Winning the CL is a lottery as seen by bthe fact that Chelsea won it last year. You can have Mourinho, Ronaldo, Ozil, Alonso and still get knocked out in the semis, ditto Messi, Iniesta etc. So concentrating on the CL is a waste of time.

Lest anyone forget we have won a paltry three leagues titles. Lets win a few more.

FUCK THIS THREAD TO HELL.

No one expects us to win the thing but we should be beating a side like Ajax and we certainly shouldn't be getting completely outplayed by them and Dortmund. Last year it took a last minute goal to beat a shocking Villarreal side who were later relegated, Napoli who finished 5 in their league got 4 points from us and we've been knocked out of the EL by 2 pretty average sides in the past few years. Im still with Mancini and we need stability but we really need to improve in Europe, hopefully we can end the group in 3rd place and have a good run in the EL to get some success in europe.

No, and I am well aware of how difficult it is to win, but if you don't get out of the group you can never progress and you will never have a chance, look at Wenger, year in year out he qualifies for the knockouts, even if he has to go through qualifying rounds to get there he still achieves this, it is not unusual for them to have poor results but he (despite not being a great on the European level) has enough grasp of what is needed to perform to the level required in Europe. Keeping Mancini in the Job to win multiple consecutive titles could be an option, but it would only prolong the inevitable, eventually the board might get bored of this get in Mourinho type to do a quick job but then leave a major rebuilding job in the aftermath. Benitez would be the safer option he would n't require vast sums, he would n't guarantee a CL win but the platform would be there, he is capable of winning domestic honours as well so whilst he may not be as good as Mancini in this respect, taking a holistic approach he would be more
suitable in the long run.
