Is our squad stronger or weaker than last year?

What do you think?

Raheem didn’t want to be here, Haaland is much better than Gabby, Zinch is a wonderful character but Gomez is a very adequate replacement , we have 5 of the very best centre backs in the league, and we kept Bernardo
Mad to think that we've got Kalvin to come in as well, fingers crossed this surgery sets him up for the second half of the season.

Yes it is kind of funny in hindsight. Not all transfers were done and we added two additions in Akanji and Gomez that was kind of wildcards. But man did they show up and gelled quicker than anyone could predict.
Im very happy with the small turnover with the squad that happened this summer. New energy helps the squad to be awake and be alert. Also happy that academy players like Lewis, Wilson and Palmer gets alot more gametime with the new sub rule of 5 subs!
The five sub rule is a god send to our academy kids.

Stronger in my view.

Sterling had his head turned by the media constantly linking him with a move to spain, before being swayed by Chelsea. It was plain to see he wanted away all last season

Sorry to see Jesus go however Alvarez is proving to be more clinical in front of goal (and manages to stay onside), Gomes and Akanji have slotted in very well and both look classy. As for Erling, its a privelege to be witnessing such fantastic talent.

We’ve replaced the outgoing players but also got the best young striker on the planet.. so I’d say a fair bit stronger

Definitely stronger and exciting, one could say that we had four absolute bargins in Haaland, Alvarez, Gomez and Akangi, to get one such bargin in a window can be considered a success and we had four, plus, we're seeing academy players getting good chances, more than any other season under pep i believe and there could be nothing better than seeing young players coming through the academy, I think that the quality coming through the academy must have improved significantly in that these young players are now getting chances under pep because he doesn't give chances for the sake of it as we've seen in previous seasons

After watching my first match in 77 for me this is probably the strongest and best squad we’ve ever assembled the team looks so strong so focused it’s now in their own hands how far they wish to take Manchester City forward on.
I don’t think we’ve ever had a mix of the blend of signings and home grown lads what we have now it’s bloody brilliant.

Thanks pep we owe you one .

You can never judge a season until it's over, so this squad will be judged and rightly so, when the season is over
