These two gaffs hate each other, I was working in Burnley at this time, build up for weeks bad, bad, bad

More than 2,000 Rovers supporters declined to make the 10-mile journey knowing it would be impossible to get past doormen at local pubs without showing a Turf Moor season ticket, a birth certificate or tattoos of at least two Burnley players.

haha, sums up buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurnley rather nicely i think.

Yes just about, although the Spurs v Gooners is pretty tasty too. They hate each other equally whereas we hate the rags with a passion while Rags hate the scousers more.

I'd say Stoke vs Vale before Rovers and 6 fingers.

Where's all this Blackburn - Burnley come from, they haven't been in the same division for donkeys and lets face it they don't have the biggest attendances although I know for the catchment area they are the two best supported clubs in the country but come on be serious, I could name ten or twenty bigger derby's for example Altrincham v Northwich Vic.

it was a slight change to derbies with the most hatred . and boy do blackburn and burnley hate each other!

I'v n ever known a Manc derby to not be a weekend Sky/TV game yet lots of the other ones dont get sky coverage (last season Everton v Liverpool was a Monday night Setanta game nuff said DSOB)

The rags make out they dont really care about the city game as much as the liverpool one just to try & wind us up but its bollocks, you watch them tomorow if they score.
The only reason the manchester derby has faded a bit over the past 20 or so years is we have not been good enough on a regular basis, but I think (hope!) that started to change a couple of years ago.
I just about remember the ref taking both teams off the pitch to calm down, now thats how it should be!

Correct! I don't actually know what it feels like to go into a Manchester Derby with confidence. Yeah we've had some good results over the years, but have always played the role of plucky underdogs. A whole generation of United fans has grown up not knowing what it feels like to be crapping yourself the night before a derby, because you're worried your team is going to get dicked. Lets hope that is about to change in the coming years! If it does, then the Manchester Derby will reclaim it's rightful place as the biggest and best Derby in the country.
