Wasn’t this guy causing disharmony amongst the team leaving tackles in during training as he wanted to force a move? We’ve moved on from him being the extra man in midfield to Stones who gives us an insurance policy defensively in big games. Two games last season he lost us by switching off not doing the basics and not tracking people.
There’s a reason City went on a run as soon as he left. There’s a reason we only conceded 3 goals in 360 minutes against Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. We had better, defensively sound players on the pitch.

If Mahrez goes, Cancelo can be a very good back up option for this right winger position with more attacking and less defending tasks as he'd preferred as well. Of course, he and Pep have to clear all past issues out of the way before new season start too.

He was a distraction. He tried to ruin the dressing room. Things improved no end when he left.
But he's learnt he was wrong, he's missed out on the greatest prize, he's studs some conciliatory things.
In think if he did come back he would get his head down and work hard. But it's a risk. And us fans world be on his back as soon as he appears not trying.

Sounds like he was an arse in training. Not sure if that and any bad mood really contributed to our poorer first half of the season, but him being in the team did.
Even when he was playing well, he was making risky passes which when they came off were great, but often didnt. Those passes were best left for Kev to do.
Leaving him out meant that Ake just gave Grealish the ball and let him be more creative too. We improved as a team all round once Cancelo had gone.
