Isco (merged)

Probably not going to happen then. Perez has never had the bollocks to sell a popular player without buying a new big name first.
Let's hope it's one of those unsettled player deals and Perez wants to money to spend elsewhere. Sounds like they want backup for Marcelo. Real apparently have no depth at that position.

The Real Madrid fans seem dead set against letting Isco go. Fans are usually much better judges of their own players than rivals who see him a few times. They seem pretty adamant that Isco should stay and are getting angry at Perez for considering it.
He's going to be a cornerstone for the Spanish national team and easily one of Spain's brightest young, yet ready talents. He could very easily be of Bale's ilk with regards to being the future of Real.

It would probably rival Bayern fans reaction that little City's poached Pep if Isco were to come here.

I find it strange that we haven't heard from @tolmie's hairdoo on this yet, wonder if it's because of how it ended last time he just doesn't want to get burnt on it again, let's face it he didn't have any say in it just reported what he heard!

Di maria as well

They weren't really popular in the way Isco is though. Isco is Spanish - along with Thiago and Koke he's the future of the national team. The madristas absolutely love him, much more so than his position in the team deserves.

Only a few months before he was winning MOTM in the CL Final, Di Maria was getting roundly booed by the fans for being shit.

I don't watch any Spanish football any more. Not got the time for it. What kind of player did Isco develop into? Does he work his bollocks off, pressing, tactically aware etc? Because we have too many players that think they are above all that. Is he a luxury player or a complete player?

I have seen him work his arse off, there's a vid of him in the CL v Liverpool at Anfield where he does a lot of defensive work. It seems to depend on his role in the team for any given game, some games he's all over the place trying to win the ball back (not always successfully) and others he seems to be set to a more attacking, but more restrained role in terms of movement. It's certainly in his locker, it's whether Pelle can coax that kind of effort out of his players.

His major problem is he just hasn't had a settled place or role in that Real side to really hone and consistently show the best of him, but it's all there if you watch his highlights and look at his stats and pitch maps.

I think in our team right now I could see him playing in an attacking role but if we switch to the 4-3-3 next season he absolutely can be one of the 3 in midfield. This could allow Silva and Isco to play roles similar to Iniesta and Xavi in Pep's formation

It could also help us get more seasons out of Silva.

Hopefully doesn't get game time today. After the shit he pulled off with rubbing his eyes seeing Kroos on the bench, I am sure Madrid wouldn't mind selling him either. He is clearly pissed as well.
