I am sure Graham Hunter said on SKY that he reckons if we signed him he would be our player of the season next year, I am pretty sure he said that.

I can't believe that Barca are not sniffing around. He's better than Fabregas already.

Sorry, but this isn't true.
Fabregas, alone, will get us to chumps league Final

With 433
Using Komps, Nastibitch, zabba, Gael, head&shoulders
Yaya, javi/Dinho, Fabregas
Silva, Christ and Aguerroooo/Bosnian Diamond

I see what ure saying but think u mean he will give our team the midfield connection and make it complete. The only thing I disagree is I believe the player to do that is thiago who is already as good as fab but with so much more potential and available for peanuts. oh and if isco comes he will play and he is better than nasri

Isco's really good but he will do nothing to move the real elephant in the room, which is our painfully slow and deliberate midfield.

Different manager now though... that's surely bigger than any squad change.

Picking up momentum after what Marcotti said last night. Excited about this guy. Personally think a new manager/system will spur Nasri on, especially if he can play more centrally

so we have just changed our manager from one who likes slow build up play to one who prefers faster, we have signed Fernandinho who is much faster in style than the players he is likely to replace, we have signed Navas who is fast, and we are only at 12th June with more players to be added - at what level does your comment make any sense?

Marcotti said that City are "very, very close" to signing Isco. Marcotti is fairly reliable. It could still go tits up but it's looking likely IMO.

Madrid have signed the Brazilian playmaker from São Paulo, and already have Modric, Ozil, Kaka and Di Maria as attacking midfielders.

Isco has said he wants to play regularly to allow himself to develop, and that is something he would do under Pellegrini. He's also said "I wish" when asked about signing for us.

I think it's a go-er

thanks for that Ono (I am not sure how "ITK" Marcotti is but I agree with you that he is not a bullshitter) - where did he say this?

It doesn't. Than again, one can only compare Mancini and Pellegrini when they manage the exact same crop of players to see who gets the best out of the team and its players. We all expect Pellegrini to play a faster style, but we're not sure how it will develop. Neither do we know if Isco (or any new player) will fit in the way he has played for his former team. But that's the risk that comes with any new player. Isco at just 21 at Malaga with Pellegrini as his manager has been sensational. We are very lucky to have Pellegrini as our next manager with Isco wanting to stick with him and therefore favours City to any other team. How it works out if it happens is anyone's guess.
