Isco

Sorry, forgot one last thing, just that Txiki said that our two main targets this summer were a holding midfielder (Fernandinho) and a winger (Navas). So, having achieved that, I would presume they were the boards two main targets, as opposed to Pellegrini's, and therefore other signings will obviously be done after Pellegrini has assessed our squad in person.

Okay, Looks like your true ITK. Isco still 50/50 and we go for El Sharrawy ?

It's our main targets now ? No centre half ?

so we have got our 2 main targets? That would suggest nothing significant to come??

Why on Earth does anyone think Txiki would neccessarily be telling the truth to some random geezer ?
Not unlikely that those working at the club had been preparing all the stuff on Pellegrini's arrival for the site yesterday. Hence the work experience kid may have been involved. Agree that it's unlikely that Txiki would have told some random kid what was going on re deals in the pipeline.

The board have got their main targets, who I presume would have been identified when Mancini was still in charge. They were the positions the board identified as being needed, whereas the others will now depend on who leaves, who becomes available and what Pellegrini wants. I would still expect a couple more signings to come, obviously.

But the decision to dispense with Mancini - so to speak was taken ages ago so I can't see Roberto's views ever being taken into account. These were always Txiki's or Pellegrini's targets ?

I don't know about the Mancini decision but I would have guessed they were predonimantly Txiki's targets, would have been identified before Pellegrini had agreed to become manager anyway.
