Listen carefully - I shall say this only once. This deal is still very much alive. Madrid have made a higher offer currently but it's my understanding he definitely wants to come to us. If we match Madrid's offer then it's a done deal. If we don't then it's 50:50.

2 people I know are very much ITK have said this in the last hour or so, plus tolmie, who is usually very reliable and trustworthy, has also said it's still on. So ignore all the shit that he's done a deal with Madrid. Malaga have accepted an offer from them it seems but that does not count as "done".

Just logged on here to update myself on everything Isco.

From the looks of it Isco wants to join us, but we are being cheapskates and not pying the fee Malaga want.

If this guy turns out to be the next Iniesta - which is looking likely - we will regret it big time.

To be honest, the level this deal has now elevated itself to, which with all due respect to Isco probably isn't quite befitting of his current stature (yet), it's wondering into major statement of intent territory. Head to head against Real Madrid, them briefing everyone who will listen that he's in the bag, everyone saying he's snubbed us and Pellegrini - Just get the fucking thing done, unveil him with Pellers, huge vote of confidence for the club and manager.

Correct pay the money City. If we have to match RM bid, do it today.

I reckon the sticking point is us having agreed a fee before the U21 tournament and then Madrid offering higher after. It's the only reason I can think of for us not to just match what Madrid have offered.

Real Madrid's bid is reported to be £23million AFTER addons (about £20.5million up front). If we refuse to match that I'll be astounded.

Monreal played with Isco at Malaga last season though, it's entirely plausible they have each others phones numbers and have exchanged txt messages. Not something people will want to hear but if Monreal says Isco is going to Real Madrid, there is a fair chance he's heard it from the man himself.

Players have to sign an NDA most of the time when it comes to revealing who they have signed for. So, if he has told Monreal - he will have breached that agreement.
