Can I ask why the sudden surge in excitement?

I refer you back to the muppet photo. We are all muppets. We want it to be, so if there is anything contrived or vaguely supportive of our desire, we hold on to it is as incontrovertible evidence that it is happening.

Conersation between malaga journo and graham hunter

Christian Machowski ‏@ChristianMcr 35m
Difficult to get consensus in Malaga on who is going to sign Isco. Madrid seem slight favourites, Malaga fans emphatically in City's favour.

Graham hunter @ChristianMcr City losing patience, or at least narked. But still think they´ll edge it.

@BumperGraham Getting various views from Malaga journos and most agree that for Isco to get games, he should join Pellegrini at City.

It was 1/6 then it hit 1/10.

Then Sky bet took it off for a bit.

Now its back on at 8/11 so all you people getting giddy he will sign lump on it now if you believe todays media.

This suggests its less likely than yesterday so what has happened to Madrids odds today - they were 7/2 yesterday I think.

No more what it was given. Isco could be Manchester City in the coming hours. Malaga player has given his word to Manuel Pellegrini and, except surprise, signed by the 'sky blues' to reject, in this way, the offer presented by Real Madrid.

So on Thursday the Confident assertions. The digital newspaper quoted sources close to the player and to Málaga to assert that the player has already made the final decision. As has been telling EcoDiario.es, midfielder (named MVP of the Euro Under-21), Isco has waited until the end of the tournament to lean toward one or the other alternative.

It is true that from the beginning the player seemed more inclined towards the option of the City, but the meeting held by Real Madrid, his representatives, his father and members of Malaga had equaled the balance.

On the one hand, in Manchester Pellegrini promised minutes undisputed ownership of a team that, a priori, fight for the Premier and, again, will play the Champions League with aspirations to go far. The presence of Silva, Navas, Kun Aguero and Javi García help. That and the constant movements that have been doing Ferran Soriano and Txiki Begiristain, sporting director and general manager of City respectively.

At Real Madrid Zidane was the most warranty, but the delay in hiring Ancelotti and the fact that some in the White House saw little hollow Spanish (Özil, Kaka Modric and would close the doors) were factors that could have slowed its departure towards the Bernabeu. Also his last hurdle. Isco Barcelona and although you feel as a professional weight preferences would not certainly also may have influenced the final step.

The operation, says The Confidential would have closed by an amount close to 25 million euros, a figure similar to that put the Real Madrid and had already agreed with Malaga. Whites also offered the sale of a player. The objectives clauses could go in favor of the City. With them included, the operation could be completed by 35 million.

In this way, and confirmed the information, Real Madrid would turn to a plan B that would focus on the incorporation of a midfielder.

Looks like all the foreign media are just sparking off the report in Marca yesterday.

Someone picks it up, then an outlet in another country, before you know it, it's a runaway train.

Happens quite regularly. A British report will be written about a player in a certain country.

That certain country picks it up and runs it again the following day.

However, because it's a rewrite and looks good on Google translate, it gives is a false sense of legitimacy.

Pellegrini is not even speaking to Isco until tomorrow and will be in Spain next week if needs be to push it over the line.
