The attacking midfielder looks to be edging closer to a move to los Blancos though Manchester City remain in the hunt to sign the Spanish starlet

Malaga star Isco has further fueled speculation that he is on his way to Real Madrid as he has admitted to seeing the Santiago Bernabeu side as an exciting option.

The Spain Under-21 star revealed earlier this month that he has received offers from Madrid and Manchester City though his latest comments hint at a preference for the Primera Division giants.

"Real Madrid are a club that excites me. They are one of the best teams in the world," Isco was quoted as saying by AS.

Madrid are reportedly willing to pay €30 million for Isco, while also including Russia U-21 attacker Denis Cheryshev in the deal.

Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal, who played alongside Isco at La Rosaleda between 2011 to 2013, claimed at the weekend that the creative midfielder has already signed at Madrid and that it's a matter of time before the transfer is made official.

The 21-year-old has a contract with Malaga until the summer of 2016, but has a limited fee release clause of €35m.

Used old quotes to rehash another article, nothing new.

I agree with you that he isn't better than some of those players at present, but at 21, I think he has the potential to be considerably better than all of them bar Hazard, who can also go up a long way if he gets his shit together.

That's probably fair, I agree. Hazard has the potential to be up there with Gotze and Neymar as the best players of the generation.

Isco for me is the signing I have most wanted us to get ever! previously it was Kun closely followed by Hazzard.

I think Isco could be our version of Messi to Barca, or Ronaldo to the rags.

I think he could turn out to be very special indeed. Preying we don't miss out.

If we value him at the buyout clause valuation then yes you're right, if Real have matched it then we need to as well, then it comes down to the financial package we can offer him, plus the players own willingness to join City ahead of Madrid.

Sorry, I was saying we wouldnt need to offer add-ons like someone suggested Madrid had done. 30m euros plus 5m add ons was quoted. Well if 30m was the buy out why have the add ons - just throwing money away.

You actually defeat your own argument - you say that we missed better players in the last 2 season, and one of the players you quote you then qualify by talking about his form from 3 years ago You couldn't make it up, and to be fair you didn't, it was just a post full of shit

So Isco is better than Hazard, Mata, Silva, Sanchez then? And seeing as I was talking about the reaction to missing out on Sanchez the timeframe was completely valid. I don't see how that's "full of shit" especially after you've given me a condescending lesson in appreciating that these overblown statements are only opinions.

Read what I say and then comment accordingly. I have not made any comparative comments between any of the players you said - I criticised your tone, I then said you shot down your own argument by comparing Isco to someone's form of 3 years ago (your comparison, NOT MINE), and I then countered to your next follow up by suggesting you were commenting about TEAM achievements not individual player abilities. I hope that is clear enough for you to get your head round now.

We won't get him for less then Real Madrid, that's for sure. So if they have matched the buyout clause, then we will have to. If they haven't however, & we could get Isco to commit 100% to City, we could then activate the buyout clause with Isco signing straight away, & tell Real Madrid to fuck off.

Re: Isco (Part 8 (weekend saga part 3))

So basically, RM have agreed a fee with Malaga for Isco, who incidentally wants to come to us as first choice, and the ball is firmly in our court. From what I've seen, Isco is waiting for us to counter RM offer because as he said himself, he will move to the club that offers Malaga the best sum of cash. Now if we're not wanting to pay 25 million for Isco, questions need to be asked. We've signed Fernandinho, who I am not slagging off and be a very good signing, for 30 million despite him being 28 years of age and having NO competition. From all this I beg the question ; Were we ever THAT interested in Isco? Back in January wasn't his release clause about 17M and still we didn't place a bid. Wouldn't this mean that Txiki was never that interested in Isco and the only reason now that we put some interest in him was because of Pellegrini? I honestly believe that the only reason we have some interest in Isco is because of Pellegrini and that Txiki has never really wanted him hence the fact that we are yet to counter RM's offer and want to get him as cheap as possible. Just my two cent from all of the news we've been hearing but is it just me that thinks that Txiki isn't all that keen on him?

Re: Isco (Part 8 (weekend saga part 3))

After a marathon session on here yesterday I finally had to go to work at 6pmlast night only to return in the early hours for a quick update. Again bloody work got in the way today and so this is my first look today. Do I need to ask the question or is the answer fairly obvious?

Re: Isco (Part 8 (weekend saga part 3))

when we started negotiating with isco months ago, we knew what his buy out clause was and that we may have to pay it in full to get him. so what's gone wrong?

Yet another rehashed article with the same old quotes and "reports".

Please can people post genuine updates instead of things that have been continuously posted and reposted just by different "sources"?

Seeing as you know the situation regarding his buyout clause & whether or not we will pay it, you must surely know everything else too, so why ask ?

If Madrid really does excite Isco as those quotes suggest then why the fuck hasn't he been officially announced as a Madrid player yet. I firmly believe it's because those words a merely words that any footballer would say if asked about playing for Madrid but it does not necessarily mean he's goiing there. Come on City pull your finger out and offer Malage the full price and finalise this deal.

Why is it not valid to compare one emerging attacking midfielders form with another's anyway. Surely Sanchez is an interesting comparison point anyway?
