Isco

When Isco is showing holding up a white shirt, some here will accuse it of being a fake and propaganda from the Real Madrid media... I can't believe anyone still thinks we have a chance of signing Isco.
They'll say he's an imposter, like Jacko used to use in press conferences. It won't be Isco holding up that shirt, it'll be Juan, 21, unemployed.

Isco press conference, Madrid:

And the young Spanish ace is slated to announce himself to the world as a Madrid player today ...

Isco comes out, speaks to the press but something is clearly off, being too equivocal.

But in the end Isco and Perez shake hands ... but wait .. what's that piping in ... is that ... BLUE MOON?!?!

Isco superkicks Perez through the window

/end

He says they have a 'very good chance' of signing him because Isco wants to go there and they want Isco. No different to what he said yesterday. It's not blown anything wide open.
No Perez is trying to squirm out of it. You can sense the beads of perspiration breaking out on his forehead. He will be loosening his tie as we speak. You can translate 'very good chance' to 'come on City wtf are you doing, why haven't you upped your bid, he wants to play with you not us'.
I don't know to react to this as I no longer know what's a joke anymore. This thread is like a Clarkie continuum
I was referring to Prestwich Blue's theory that Isco was never Plan A for Perez. PB then suggests that Malaga called in Perez as leverage to force City's hand, in part as revenge for what happened with Pellegrini. I suspect the theory was that City would cough up the 35 mill because of our desperate desire to land him, and of course this has been the expectation all the way through because of Isco's association with Pellers. PB then attributes the delay to Madrid not actually being desperate themselves to acquire another left sided attacker.

It all sounds very Shakespearean but to me it goes part of the way to explaining the oddities and delays in all of this.

It hasn't looked good for days.

Even when he signs for RM some people on here will say we're still in with a chance.
If we draw them in the CL, some will believe he'll run out in a City shirt in the home leg, despite having signed for Madrid some months earlier.

If he signs for Madrid, it will be because we bought him and loaned him to them! :)
Wow, that is some overuse of a very poor joke.

Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al-Thani, who ownes Malage (and often forgets to pay the salarybills) states Isco WILL leave Malage and the number 22 is never to be used again out of respect for what the player did for the club.
Isco played two years for Malaga. WTF?!

Come on Billy Connolly show us how it's done.

Alright guys, where we going after here? The Jovetic or El Sharaawy thread?

LMAO

#RealMadrid and #ACMilan have held talks over a potential deal for Stephan El Shaarawy. The proposed deal included a fee plus Kaka.
News released today is Madrid is signing all half decent players in the world! Sounds like city 3 years ago hahaha

So much for that mutual agreement. "Who do we go for? I don't know, lets just go after whoever Manchester City are going for and pay more".

I can confirm Manchester City didn't improve their bid for Isco, the spanish midfielder will be announced as a Real Madrid player soon.

Huge letdown for me, Manchester City screwed up big time. Real Madrid seized their opportunity securing his signing.

Flap away :)

They cant have that many people working on transfers for them. I mean thats Isco, EL Sharaawy, Bale, Suarez and Cavani all in negotiations as well as Kaka, the player going to Malaga on loan and Higuain all going out.

Whatever the politics and whomever did or didn't do this or that - RM have got themselves one of the future stars of world football - for (in the scheme of things) a reasonable price and we have not.
