Bunk quote I'll bet right now that Hart plays 90% of our fixtures this season. Why waste an overseas player birth on a guy who'll play 1 in 10 games?!

If Hart feels that way, I'm pretty sure he will end up on the bench permanently.
I think Hart will improve because he has better competition. Pants wasn't bad either, but Hart knew he was always going to be better than him. Now he gets a new and bigger challenge. Either way, Hart improves it's because of Willy (and it would not have happened with any of the HG-keepers available), or he fails and we have Willy in goal who -based on performances at Malaga- will be a step up.

But as this topic is about Isco, if there's a chance to snap him up, I would do so. The guy is an exceptional talent and Pellegrini knows this first hand. If it means the end of either one of squadplayers, so be it. Yes, I would let Jovetic go to get in Isco.

We all know how good a talent Isco is, there is last years thread with umteen you tube clips, and Pellers knows him, but he won't add anything to the club than what we have. I would go for Barkley instead due to the fact he gives us a HG quota place and he's hungry to prove himself at top level. If we need to spend alot of money to land either one, its better for the club to take Barkley. RIsky? yes of course it is, but every signing is a risk.

I suppose the only difference between Isco and Barkley is one of them will be top class and the other one might be

However, Barkley does have Premier League experiance and Isco has Champions League experiance. If a loan to buy deal can be done for Isco, leaving funds to go for Barkley, that would be imense. They are both young exciting atacking midfield players that offer the club slightly different options and experiance.

"Pellegrini "calls" Isco. City ready to attack Real

The coach of Chilean Citizens knows the days of the Malaga Spanish midfielder who may not find more space with Ancelotti

JULY 23, 2014 - MILAN

During this time it is not that there is much room for Real. In no department (even where the goal now seems to step the arrival of Keylor Navas who is not party to withdraw the pre-season with the Levant), yet those who know the Spanish midfielder Isco , taken from Malaga last year to 30 million euro (not peanuts) knows how much we would take to stay in blanco to convince everyone - and Ancelotti in particular - its quality. But England the Daily Mail claims that Manchester City are ready to launch the decisive attack to take him away from the Santiago Bernabeu. Talent Iberian fell in love expressly Pellegrini, manager Citizens, who took with him to Malaga."

I don't think the experience that Barkley has in the PL can really be classed as experience. He has played about 40 games in the PL at a guess and has never held down a starting place, I know Martinez is trying to look after him but if he was coming here we would be doing the same with him, he wouldnt get anywhere near our starting 11 at the moment. Where as Isco would arguably get into our 11, him Nasri and Silva behind Aguero would be frightening. Hopefully we can get Isco on loan but signing Barkley this summer is a bit of a dream, although I would love us to sign him it relies on too many other scenarios happening, one of them being the sale of 2 of either Garcia, Nastasic and perhaps even jovetic. At the moment they are the only 3 we could get decent money for without weakening the squad.

Chris, I agree with everything you say, but I would add that we would be diluting all our players first team exposure for next season. We will have alot of top top talent fighting for the midfield starts, Fernando, Ferdy, Yaya, Silva, Nasri, Navas, Milner, (Isco?/Barkley?) Also supporting acts like Garcia, Sinclair, Rodwell. Its a swollen group. I have no doubts it will be trimmed, but it will be hard to offload players on great contracts.

Thats it in a nutshell.

We can't move these players on cause no one else is daft enough to pay them as much as us!!

If we could have sold 2 or 3 we would be in a good position to go for Barkley but my guess is it will have to wait till next summer

Hasn't Isco stated he wants to stay and fight for his place at Real Madrid.

Would this not be best alround?

ie He stays at Real does not get a place in team and comes to us in January?

Do these FFP sanctions only apply to this transfer window or is for the year?

The €60 million cap that's bandied about is for this summers window, what if anything the winter one is nobodies saying.

Isco ha chiesto di essere ceduto in prestito, si parla con Liverpool e @MCFC. #Isco has asked #RMCF for loan options to #LFC and #MCFC.
We better be on this.

Credibility of Source?
According to Tolmie the scousers aren't interested so presumably not very credible.

Wouldn't sway me, I'd need to see that old picture of him in a City shirt until I start getting my hopes up.

Don't see why Real Madrid would want to get rid of Isco assuming Di Maria completes his move away.

If one of Bale/James/Ronaldo got injured Isco would be first in line to replace them.

The fact he looks like Jamie Redknapp means I would have a psychological bridge to cross before I start getting giddy.
