My opinion has never changed from the moment I finally felt safe and comfortable, roughly 3 hours after the Final Whistle.
Istanbul is a lovely city, but it should never have been awarded an event so prestigious as the CL Final.
That was entirely the fault of UEFA, and the success or failure of the CITY MATTERS Report will depend entirely on whether it affects the criteria for choosing the next venues
Wembley, Berlin and Munich are fine, but if we're talking about crowd safety (would we really want to play in Rome against an Italian team?) or proper infrastructure (Paris couldn't cope in 2022) then there really aren't that many others.
Look no further than Tottenham next Friday.
Fantastic state-of-the-art stadium with third world traffic congestion after the game.
