Di maria is certainly a target for us and I wonder whether we are trying to raise funds for the 2? Chelsea signing Felipe luis as well makes them alot stronger as well unfortunately!

Why do this to yourself, fella?

You and other blues are going to be seriously disappointed this summer with the level of player some are linking us with.

As for Chelsea, they took six points from us last season, how do they improve upon that.

And in the same equation, can we somehow improve upon four points dropped to Sunderland, plus losses to Villa, Cardiff and Liverpool?

I would suggest Chelsea would have to crash a record 96 points to beat us next season.

And people are seriously underestimating United with Van Gaal in charge and a motivated Van Persie, coupled with no European football.

Just as much a threat as Chelsea.

I tend to agree, but Chelsea dropped a lot of silly points last season too.

Van Persie may well be motivated, but I'm sceptical of his ability to stay fit for a full season.

We finished on 86 points and still gave up six to Chelsea.

Coupled with a settled team, it would be a helluva swing and downturn in form for Chelsea to be supposedly superior to us next season.

It is vital we hit the ground running with players fatigued after the World Cup.

Which is why City are being very cute recruiting players who can start straight away and get us wins.

Chelsea are going round paying the buy-out clauses for everyone.

Hardly great business.

Do you think we will go with the homegrown option for back up for Joe or try and get someone like Caballero ?

My point is that you say we can easily improve on the points dropped against Sunderland, Villa, Cardiff and Liverpool. Chelsea's losses came against Everton, Newcastle, Stoke, Villa, Palace and Sunderland so I'd argue that they're just as, if not more, likely to pick up extra points on last season's total than City.

Correct.

There's nothing clever about shit or bust.

Essentially, this is Chelsea's season coming up.

They will get another £20m for Lukaku, but so many players without knowledge of the league.

Any update on activity Tolm?

Well we can forget £40m signings for a start!

The names mentioned are the targets and I expect them to get done.
Which names specifically? There's about 20 a day.

Think Caballero is hanging on for us and a goalkeeper will be the last bit of business.

There would have been nothing to stop us signing a homegrown keeper already.

Certainly someone like Westwood, who is a free agent.

Makes sense but just wondering how that impacts on our other business in terms of HG players in the squad - if as suggested we lose a few of our current homegrown players - are you confident we can cover all the bases ?
