Both teams had 4 shots on target in that game, England would have to sacrafice Kane to flood the midfield to replicate that and even if they did they are not capable of possession football like Spain or City…

This is the worst piece of analysis I have seen to date - the levels of delusion are starting to get out of control. England have the better players but not the better team or manager in my opinion - will be a close game between two very good teams

Mark Goldbridge would probably be the very last person in the world, just behind Paul merson in fact, who I’d go to for any tactical discussion!! Fucking waste of spunk that he is.

Not a chance Foden misses tomorrow

Probably ensures he starts on the bench though, which is fine so hopefully he comes on when the game opens up. Saka can do his bit to run & stretch their defence in the first 60 mins.
I thought his game awareness and his passing were excellent when he came on against Denmark.

I think this is a massive game for City tomorrow, we've got 3 players in Walker, Stones and Sterling who IMO are slightly held back because they really don't know just how good they are.

Part of that is probably because every 2 months the leave the bubble of City where they play brilliantly every week, and go to an England camp where everyone is undermining them and wanting them dropped.

People talk about Sterling's place being questioned, but no one outside City wanted Walker anywhere near the team. Reece James, Alexander-Arnold, Trippier, Wan-Bissaka - everyone wanted someone other than Walker.

Stones has still not got the praise he deserves for his performances although people are starting to switch on, but going into the tournament everyone was saying the CBs were a weak point because Stones was there without Maguire.

I think winning tomorrow, and all the adulation and celebration and honours would give those 3 guys a real permanent confidence and hopefully a bit of arrogance and swagger that they lack a bit and that would be great for City.
Or Billy big bollocks syndrome.

Stones came back from Russia with that.

What’s concerning about everyone coming together as a country, celebrating, enjoying themselves, singing Three Lions, attempting the John Barnes rap, keeping their England flags up out of their windows all Summer, going out on the piss every weekend and rising a glass saying “it came home”, positive references to it on tele in the papers and in the media instead of constant moaning about how shit we are and always underachieve?

I couldn’t think of anything better after the last 18 months.
Half of me wants to agree, but I can't as all that little Englander bollocks will come spewing out.

You can't really just draw up some secular anthem, the song that replaces the dirge that is GSTQ needs to have massive popular backing and be known by most people.
Scotland managed it. Flower of Scotland was written in mid 60s by the Corries. Just a secular anthem about military deeds.

you know full well the praise will go elsewhere to the rags and dippers in the squad. Stones and Walker barely get mentions despite carrying the backline, it's all about Shaw and Maguire. As soon as Sterling started setting up Kane for goals instead of scoring them for him it became all about Harry and England fans en masse accused Sterling of cheating even when him being clearly fouled benefitted them. Always has either a negative slant or completely ignored. Will be the same tomorrow night unless we lose in which case it'll be Stones and Kyle's fault for not keeping a clean sheet and Raz bottling it in the big moment having had to cheat in the semi.

Sorry Mat but I can’t agree with you here.
Fair enough.

I thought his form and some of his colleagues including walker dipped because they thought they were better than they were. I'm ecstatic they've improved and hope they keep the same levels when they put on our club shirts again.
