Quite believable really as he’s the type to do so. You can’t just put your money on Spain in a shoot out especially after the last one.

Tongue was firmly in cheek there. I didn’t fancy Spain. Their players don’t have the warrior spirit needed.

They also had a keeper that had won a raffle to play.

That’s a bizarre thing to say.
but to counter it, in commentary should they do, I’d wager that it would be mentioned. Italy win it in England. I’d also say they’d mention he’s won it where he won the FA Cup. And of course there he lost it.
