Martinez, Bale and RVP would be an unbelievable summer if its true that we hope to snap up all 3.

The 'City are ruining football' brigade would be out in full force.

Good. Let's hope they are - the more the media hate us the more we are getting things right and challenging the elite.

When you are shopping for a Porsche or Ferrari it is a very exclusive market place and there are a lot of factors influencing the speed of these transactions. The seller wants the best deal, the players ego often needs to be soothed, the agent is trying to drive up the price, and the potential buyer is looking for a quick outcome.

I have a tee-shirt which says 'Keep calm and pass it to Silva'. In this case lets remain calm. These purchases of elite players is a difficult and tricky business. I have respect for the explanation of TH. These deals do take time and the Euros have complicated matters. As much as we all want a quick outcome, when we are dealing with superstars and their sometimes complicated lives it does take time to satisfy all parties.

TH said that we have never been more active behind the scenes in a transfer window and anyhow if these huge signings don't come off you all still have the best team in the League. There will still be Sergio, David, Vincent, Joe etc to cheer on every Saturday arvo!

Cheers - Michael from Sydney Australia.

Utd are only in for players, whose clubs are happy to be paid on the drip.
Any club who wants all monies up front, Utd won't be involved.

That's interesting news. Where is your source?
In what way is that interesting?
If you don't know why a Chelsea player going on holiday with a City payer is not interesting then I pity you. Hopefully their friendship can prove useful.

It could blossom into something very beautiful??

Was speaking to someone at Crewe Alex the other day and he confirmed that the rags are interested in Nick Powell but they want to pay for him over 5 years! So the upfront cash benefit to Crewe is not significant.

I dot care what people say it would make sense to get deals tied up before the euros. And dont give me this deals take ages. If the club want a deal to be done they can make it happen

If we can't close deals for our main targets quickly, perhaps the club should focus on shifting the players who need selling like Adebayor. I've got a feeling we could still be stuck with him by the end of the window, is anyone going to make a concrete bid for him?

I was hoping that he would go to spurs are part of some deal for Bale. Bale isn't at the Euros but apparantly on holiday, Levy would certainly not allow Bale to go for less than 40m. Only problem as I see it is Ade's wages, not sure how long he has left on his contract but bearing in mind signed by Hughes I suspect he is down to last 12 - 18m, so knocking off 100K per week would mean reducing his transfer fee from say 12m to somewhere at the 7m mark for them to probably afford him. Means we would be stumping up 33m for the chimp.

Bryan Rabello, the Spanish press claims we're going all out to try and sign him. It says Chelsea and Liverpool want him too but that we've made a bid. He is an 18-year-old attacking midfielder from Chile who agreed to join Sevilla months ago but we're trying to grab him. It says we'd have to pay compensation if we steal him.
