Agreed. I would be more than happy if the only transfers to happen this season were removing all the deadwood.
We need at least 2 top quality players (left winger and a centre half I'd say) if we want to have even a remote chance to win both Prem and CL in the same season. I'm sure Bobby has made our owners aware so it depends what ambitions you have for us next season. I think if you stand still you go backwards normally...which is what Bobby means when he points out that Barca and Real Madrid buy 2 players each per season normally to keeep them on top. They have to be our target now.
We can't stand still because we barely got over the line to win the Premier League while having NO other priorities. We were out of both domestic cups, out of the Champions League, out of the Europa League. Imagine we were in Chelsea's shoes, could we have handled it and been successful given Mancini's lack of trust in players like Johnson, Savic, and Kolo? Fewest players used in the league besides two bottom feeding clubs too, that stat says to me that we need at least three signings (possibly more if all of Dzeko/De Jong/Kolarov/Johnson leave) and also to have a couple of our youth players on the fringes and given games if they don't go out on loan.

The window will pan out as itgoes - we are now looking at top players with Ego's / attitude.
Hazard - 32 Mill + massive wages for a 21 year old who's played well in the French league but has done nothing at international level - for all his lightening pace etc didn't see him run at one England fullback the other day and didn't believe in himself enough to think he would regularily get in City's team.
Martinez - Looks promising - if he wants to stay at Bilbau then you have to wonder what his real motivation is - does he want the confort of being a decent player in an average team - doesn't strike me as someone who wants to go on a win big things.
Hummels - can understand dortmond just won the league
RVP - been at Arsenal for years - I can see this dragging out and him still staying
Bale - say no more we saw what happened with Modric last season.
So it's not going to be easy - All we can hope for is that if say Martinez really wants to stay - then we find out soon from the horses mouth and move on before any plan B targets get snapped up
People get to excited based on TH clues which are a bit of fun and maybe a bit of info but when its posted 'big O' and 'defcon 1' etc people take it to literally that its happening the next couple of days.

No sweat on my brow, i'm relaxed about the whole thing.
I might even have a nibble on RVP @ 10/1 to be top goal scorer to keep me interested during the summer.
