Round and round it goes, blah, blah, blah. We need cover at CB as we suffered when Kompany was out. We suffered when Tevez went AWOL and no width. So it's 2 in and 3 if Tevez goes.

If we only sign RVP then it's been very poor business on our half. One thing we didn't lack last season was goals so why the need to add another older more injury prone one.

So what did we, the champions, lack last season?
We lacked a plan B in some of the away games. If we had a quick winger (Bale), the title would've been in our hands earlier, I'm sure.

So we need to spend 40m on a winger for the sake of a couple of away games?
If Bale plays then we obviously need to drop someone else, probably Nasri who is good at unlocking defences.

We need to cover for Yaya IF he goes which has been rumoured that he won't and I would maybe go for another CB to cover or so we can play 3 at the back. We aren't desperate for reinforcements though.

We Lacked goals in the tough away games though.

We lost points in the league to teams that parked the bus. Width is the problem or lack of it against certain opposition. Therefore pacey wingers are required e.g. Bale.

Indeed, we need a plan b and a top class winger/s is what we need.

Cover CB ( Coloccini )

Winger ( Robben,Ribery, Ben Arfa, Di Maria or maybe Iturbe )

The window will pan out as itgoes - we are now looking at top players with Ego's / attitude.

Hazard - 32 Mill + massive wages for a 21 year old who's played well in the French league but has done nothing at international level - for all his lightening pace etc didn't see him run at one England fullback the other day and didn't believe in himself enough to think he would regularily get in City's team.

Martinez - Looks promising - if he wants to stay at Bilbau then you have to wonder what his real motivation is - does he want the confort of being a decent player in an average team - doesn't strike me as someone who wants to go on a win big things.

Hummels - can understand dortmond just won the league

RVP - been at Arsenal for years - I can see this dragging out and him still staying

Bale - say no more we saw what happened with Modric last season.

So it's not going to be easy - All we can hope for is that if say Martinez really wants to stay - then we find out soon from the horses mouth and move on before any plan B targets get snapped up

People get to excited based on TH clues which are a bit of fun and maybe a bit of info but when its posted 'big O' and 'defcon 1' etc people take it to literally that its happening the next couple of days.

I hope he is right though

why does staying at a club you love and want to win things with show a lack of ambition to win big things?

With all due respect Bilbau are a good side but they wont win La Liga they are not even in the CL. Best hope is prbably as good as they did last season. Why are good players suddenly looking to leave arse -its because they are out of the habit of winning trophys. Staying because you love your local team has its own qualities but like LeTissier he'll always be looked at as an also ran - unless he moves on or keeps winning big comps with Spain

Bilbao as club will not progress as a club without ditching or adjusting their commendable but restricted buying policy. If we sign him it would be a good move.

If City bought him he will not be a CB or CM cover, he will replace either Lescott or Barry.

He won't be a replacement for those two though yet. The Premier League has a cap of the number of foreign players in the squad.

How about Nicolas Gaitan, wolfswinkle, belhanda, eriksen plenty of yound talent out there.

Gaston ramirez is pretty good too but dont know whom he will replace plays more like nasri from what i have seen.

We definetly need a winger and a good one this transfer window.

And we have one hell of a player in yaya, God forbid if he gets injured we need some one of his calibre inour team, we currently have no one like him neither there are any players like him out there. Hope yaya has an excellent season with us and so glad hes not goingto next acon.

As i see it the only positions we can improve on is a CM to play alongside Yaya for Barry and another world class CB to partner Kompany. after that a squad player or 2 might come in handy if we have a good run in all 4 comps.

If Tevez stays he will play in the hole with Nasri and Silva, where's Bale playing??? we dont play with wingers and to do so we would have to change our winning 4-2-3-1 system, our width comes form Clichy and Richards, what dont some of you understand?? onless Bale is the new Kinky and can dance his way through a defence and play short tippy tappy football with Silva, Nasri, Tevez and Aguero he doesnt fit a 4-2-3-1 onless he plays LWB but Clichy is doing a great job in that postion, would be a waste of 40million
