There is a distinct whiff of Barca in the air, but they can't raise the buy-out cash.

Bilbao are happy to bide their time, whether it's down to Martinez, that would be speculation.

All our eggs are not in the one basket, on any target, it's just the type of players we have identified are problematic for clear reasons.

Perhaps Barca are preparing to offload one of their players, I might be wrong and tell me if i am but would Martinez leave for another spanish club as i thought he was Bilbao through and through?

I think they realise they dropped a clanger by getting rid of Yaya, he was the type of player that they missed in certain games last season and cost them the League and in Europe.

Martinez would ceratinly be that "type" of player they've been missing, it also says a lot about him if Barca are in the mix.

He would be much more suited to Barca imo as they rarely lose the ball, so his amount of time spent running after it would be less. From what I've seen of him, when he has to chase the ball, his legs go & he looks like Michael Carrick after a heavy lunch.

De Rossi is Roma through and through, but something strange happened before the last window.

It smacked of both the player helping the club realise a proper fee further down the line.

I still think £20m would represent good business and Mancini never gives up, we should all know this by now ;)

The new/old coach of Roma was talking last week about De Rossi's's role in the new Roma set up.I havent read any speculation that he might be moving on.After his performance on Sunday his profile has become higher in world football.

No suggestion in Roma other than he is still a proud Roman and Romanista.Happy living in Rome with his actress and girlfriend.He is also a Dad from a previous relationship so if he move dout of Italy it would be difficult from a personal point of view.He is still close to his Dad who is doing a great job with the primavera side at Roma.

I wouldn't take that site as gospel if i was you, they're a bit behind the times on a few things.

This may well represent the first year when we are less likely to throw lots of money at players and are looking to buy at 'fair' prices.

There is some truth in this, albeit, our 'fair' price still puts us in a very small bracket of teams contesting the talent pool.

The club have never been more attractive, and we will discover it soon enough.
